Hey Friends,

My husband and I are taking my mother in law on the Dream March 3 thru March 7th and ending up at WDW for 5 days.
What should we expect on the cruise???

We are doing 5 days at Disney and then the cruise in March too. Always looking for information so will keep an eye on your post.

So you're at (more or less) the one month mark!

I'm going to interpret your question to mean, "What can we expect on the cruise as a group that includes a same-sex couple?" If you're looking for more general info about what's available on the Dream, please say so, because I (and others) can chime in about that.

I've been on 2 cruises on the Dream, and the entire experience was incredibly gay-friendly. The cast members were all fantastic and welcoming, though I would have been surprised if I'd experienced otherwise. I've never personally had a negative experience with another passenger, though I have read about a couple of incidents elsewhere on this board which I think are the exception rather than the rule. On my cruise last summer, I did see a few same-sex couples holding hands at times, and no one really seemed to give it a second thought.

And on a completely different note, Pink (the champagne-themed bar in the District) is pretty much a de facto gay bar, at least in terms of decor. ;)

We are now at the 7 day mark!!!
Are there any activities that are must do's?
We booked a bunch of fitness classes, a personal trainer and spa appointments. This is going to be a fun trip!!!!!

Since you'll be in the spa, be sure to check out the Rainforest Room. Very relaxing!

I'm a huge fan of Serenity Bay (the adults-only beach) on Castaway Cay. I normally am not a big fan of beaches, but I make a special exception for CC.

On board, there are a couple of fun ways to explore the ship. Check out the Navigator for ship tours. I'm blanking on the names at the moment, but the ones I'm thinking about focus on design elements and theming.

I'm also a fan of the Mid-Ship Detective Agency games. If you like the Agent P adventure in Epcot (or the old Kim Possible game), you'll like MSDA. It's a great way to wander around the ship's public spaces.

Bon voyage!

Thank you! We will check all that out.
We are about ready to board the plane and get to this much needed vacation.

The cruise was nice.
We spent about 90% of our time at Senses Spa and Rainforest.
Had more fun at WDW after. There was lots of "family" on the boat and in the parks. (nice to see outside of gay days)!
Next trip in 80 days!!!!!!!
