Ok..I will probably get flamed for this..but what the hay...I am a single man that loves Disney..have done two four day cruises with the kids, as I am divorced...I would like to book a 7 day cruise some time in 2005 or 2006..problem is I would like to take a lady...just do not know who that might be at this time...can anyone help as to how I may go about making a reservation for two when you do not know whom the second cruiser will be...thanks

There's some lucky lady out there... :)

Here's my guess as to what you could do: make the rez for two, making sure you are the primary on it. For the second passenger, give any name...a friend, your ex-wife, whoever. At most, they will ask for birthdate at the time of the rez (just to confirm whether it's an adult or child), but they might not even do that. You will have to pay a deposit for two. Later on, it should be very easy to switch the second passenger before you make final payment.

As long as the primary passenger isn't changing, it should be very simple to do.

I've booked a few cruises with the loose assumption that my soon-to-be-ex-husband will go with me. We get along great and might very well end up vacationing together, but in the event I change my mind, I can always substitute someone else as the second passenger before final payment.

Good luck!

I've booked my cruises with the vacation club and I know the policies can be different than with DCL. Two years ago, when I changed the 2nd passenger, there was a charge and a time limit before the sail date when no more passenger changes could be made. Might be best to call DCL and check their policy before you make your final booking. And I hope you meet someone nice to take with you!

I read a thread last night, someone had reserved space telling DCL TBD To be determined, it is best to do this as whilst each cabin ( stateroom ) has a certain number of beds, each cruise has a limit of passengers for safety, and meals etc. so you might have space in your room but the cruise is full so they will not allow you to add.

look at this thread:-

You could do the TBD thing but tell them it will be an Adult. I read that they ususally have a cut off on the amount of children because they have a limit on the kids clubs.

Goodluck on finding that lucky lady!! but if things dont pan out i am sure there are thousands of ladies on the disboards that would just love to go;) (I would offer to go, but for some reason i think DH might have a problem with that  )

We're the ones that did TBD - by doing that there's no charge or rate changes when you change TBD to an actual name (whereas there may or may not be fees for changing from one name to the next).

We too did TBD when we booked when I was pregnant and knew we would have a 8-9 month old with us when we sailed. There was no problem filling in the age and birthday after he was born. :D
