Sailing Concierge- Will my magnet stick?

So we just canceled our cruise for this February (mostly because we ALREADY had the 125% cruise credit because this was already a reschedule of a cancelled cruise) and because we had a bunch of credit and we just figured we won’t be traveling for much of 2021 now, we’d just go baller and book concierge. But now we wonder- will our REALLY COOL magnets we got for our doors stick?? I just watched a walkthrough and the doors seem to be wood! These magnets are so AWESOME too we’d be so sad if they didn’t stick!

I think I have heard that they would stick on the inside, but not the outside.

The doors are wood veneer on a metal door. You need a very strong magnet for them to stick on the outside. But, as noted, you can put them up on the inside with no problem.

The veneered doors on Fantasy/Dream are made of metal, but the wood finish prevent regular magnets from sticking. You need to use neodymium magnets on those doors.

On Magic/Wonder, the doors are standard, since the concierge staterooms are spread throughout the upper decks. Standard magnets work on them, unless they have had many layers of paint.

All the doors are made of steel. On Fantasy and Dream there is a faux wood veneer that a very strong magnet will stick too. On Magic and Wonder most all magnets will stick to the door.

Our wooden magnets have pretty intense rare earth magnets on the back. They’re pretty substantial. I’m gonna hope they’ll stick!!!

Where did you get those magnets? Or did you get normal ones and stick something to the back?

I got them from Amazon and stuck them to the backs of the normal magnets.

I got mine at Home Depot. I believe most hardware-type stores have them. But I've been told WalMart also carries them.
