Sailing 6/14 - How's the Weather?!

We're sailing on the Magic on 6/14 (Eastern). I looked up the weather for St. Thomas and there's a chance of storms every day. Are they the quick kind of storms we usually encounter in Orlando in the summer? How's the weather in Orlando now? Anyone ever sail in mid-June and experience bad weather?

On the Western last June 9-16, we saw rain every day. In Orlando, on the bus ride, at every port, at sea, Castaway Cay, getting on the ship, getting off the ship, etc.

Heck, at one point I was sure it was raining in Lumiere's! (j/k).

Hot, humid, tropical enviroment = chance of rain every day.

Despite the rain, we still had a great time. We did many indoor things on that that we skipped on our first Magic cruise.

weather is looking pretty good for next tuesday & wednesday, according to weather underground. that tropical depression is pretty much gone. We're on the 14th as well. ALso on the same western last year. Since we live in Houston, and it always gets rain in the gulf in may and june, you think we would have known better than to book the western then. that's why we're back on the eastern this year, where the chance of rain is less. It did rain in St. Thomas briefly when we were on the eastern 2 years ago, but that was in march over spring break. I certainly hope that this year's cruise beats last year's rain out, but no matter what, you still have fun.
