Okay, if it wasn't enough that SM killed my iPhone. Went in GRR today because friday it was closed when we came back with our fast passes...

Anyway, went down the first hill...splash, then the right before the big drop the raft in front of us gets stuck. We wait and wait...finally they decide they have to close the ride but first they have to drain the ride so we can get off....

I should tell you around this time, my kids start having fits because they both drank 20 ounces of water before getting on the ride..land there little 8 and 10 yr old bladders just can't stand it. They finally finish draining it.then brought a ladder for us to climb down. Then we went down a group in the bowels of GRR. I would have taken picture, but my iPhone is still in a bag ofrice.

Be careful if you decide to ride the Jungle Boats or Canoes. It sounds as though you have a rough time with the water rides.

Have fun

Yes, these things happen in threes, don't they. ;)

It sounds like you will have some great stories and pictures for your final trip report!

Oh my Lord! You poor thing! Water rides of DOOM! lol I think I'd stay high and dry if I were you for the rest of your trip! hehe

Beware IASW. Imagine getting stuck on that!

Been there, done that! It wasn't until 30 minutes into the evacuation that they (blessedly) turned off the music. We thought about suing for infliction of emotional distress. ::yes::

To the OP - hope your luck turns soon. Maybe keep your phone in a ziploc bag (full of rice can't hurt) - and watch out for water rides and toilets!!

We got stuck on Pooh last time, but fortunately we were only about 5 feet into the ride at that point :) I can't imagine being stuck on GRR or IASW! Hope your poor kids made it to the bathroom!

Yeah getting stuck on IASW is not fun at all. My BFF got put in a boat with her friends that the CM had loaded down too heavy and the boat apparently got lower and lower in the water until between the final room and the end of he tunnel they got stuck and had to push themselves through the rest of the waterway. I guess it took close to 30 minutes for them to push themselves to the loading dock and everyone clapped and cheered when they finally made it. She refuses to this day to go back on IASW.

It's also not fun getting stuck on POTC. You love to song now but after 45 minutes of it playing, it's a blessing when they shut it off.

To the OP, I am so sorry this happened to you. My Blackberry also went swimming (in my water cup at home) and I took out the battery, SIM card, and just left alone for 48 hours. It worked after that but I am now having trouble with the trackpad (I have a VERY old blackberry). Hopefully you won't need to replace your phone. I know hindsight is 20\20 but I highly suggest a ziplock baggy. I keep my phone and camera in one so I don't have to worry and even accidental water damage (POTC, someone spilling something). Hope everything works out alright!!!
