We don't have Krogers around here (Hanover, MD), but Safeway just started their 4x gas rewards as well. I haven't been able to find definite dates, just "limited time only"
Now, around here, it's kind of an "iffy"deal, because (1) max discount is $1/gallon (2) there are only two Safeway gas stations in the area, and both are a bit out of my way.. I suppose if I'm saving $18 a tank, I can afford to waste a little, but still, a bit earth hater-ish...
We are having our kitchen remodeled, so I figure I can buy thousands of dollars in Home Depot cards $250 at a time whenever I need a fill-up, get the $1 gas discount, charge it on my Disney Rewards Visa, pay it off as fast as I charge it (money's already in the bank), and get a bunch of money for the cruise fund while paying a bill that needs paying and getting a big discount on my gas.
Will be great if it works.
