I was just packing our bags for our trip (YEAH!!!) and remembered a few things that I'd pass along. Don't forget outlet plug covers for the hotel room. We will be spending many hours in the room for naps etc. and these are much needed but often forgotten items. Also, always keep an updated photo of your child on you in case (God forbid) they get lost in a park. My very young nephew was separated from the group last year and 4 horrible hours later he was found. None of us had a recent photo of him which would have helped out a lot in his search.
Good luck and be safe!!

Good tips....One other thing I'd suggest is to bring a small nightlight with you (the kind you put right in the plug). This helps both if the child wakes up they can see a little, and you don't trip over stuff trying to get to them.

Of course, the last two times we've gone, I've forgotten to take them home. Oh well, it's part of my packing list now!

Have a great trip!

a wet & apply decal works wonders on glass doors ... keeps their little heads safe

I also bring a small bottle of dish soap to clean out sippy cups

Great tips. The door decal idea is especially good. While staying at a hotel near Disneyland my little nephew ran headfirst into a glass door (trying to run out onto the balcony) and had to have stitches in his forehead--that spoiled his family's planned day at Disney for sure!

I'd suggest also bringing a small bottle of syrup of ipecac (clearly marked with instructions for use, and a poison control number). You never know what tots will get into in strange surroundings!

I was going to respond with the ipecac - glad I read ahead. Its a good idea to have some benadryl in case of emercency allergic reaction. Esp with the risk or sunburn or bug bite!

I also bring colorforms for the glass doors = doubles as an activity. In the holiday seasons I bring the seasonal window clings. I also pack otc medicines appropriate for the ages of my kids and a medicine spoon if they are too young for chewables. I read that silverware esp plastic ware are not even close to a measured teaspoon.

Some hotels have a "child kit" readily available for a small fee or even complimentary. I know the holida inn sunspree does -that's where I got the ideas for nightlight, outlet covers and colorforms! I have yet to get one from WDW but that's ok -

I may be a bit over the top but I usually have an idea of the closest emergency room as well as walk in clinic just in case.

We have one of the digital cameras that it goes onto a floppy disk. When we spent a week there, we took a picture of the kids each morning. That way we had a picture of them in what they were wearing. I have discovered that I have a hard time remembering what my own kids are wearing!

We also had dog tags made for them. It had their name, our name and our cell phone number. We "trained" them to either find a cast member or mother with children, pull out the tag and ask that person to help them find their mommy and daddy.
