Safety/Height Requirements?

Our upcoming trip is the first trip that my DD4 will meet the 40 inch height requirements for Splash Mtn, Thunder Mtn and others. She really wants to ride, but I am concerned. While she meets the height requirements, she is really slim for her age. This may sound silly, but could she slip out of the ride?

I had the same concern. My dd is also very slim, but quite the daredevil! This trip she's hoping to be tall enough for RnRC at MGM. I might be safe, she's got 2 inches to go, lol. She loves BTMRR and SM, but hasn't done Splash yet, although she says she will this time.

My son is extremely skinny he is only 40 lbs at 46 1/2 inches now so was about 32lbs when he was 40 inches last trip and did fine on BT, Splash, TOT,MS,TT, I'm not sure why he didn't go on space mountain was it 44? He slid a bit on thunder but never to the point of seeming like he was falling out. He loved thunder rode it about 6 times.

I think Space and EE are 44" for requirement. But don't quote me!

I rode BTMRR with my DD who was 40 inches and 1 millimeter, and she did fine. DD rode Splash w/her aunt, and there were no problems. While I agree that there MAY be some risk of the child being able to slide under the bar, I make sure that I have a hand on her at all times. Really, I think the child would WANT to have to slide out. Most kids have the instinct to hold on tight. There's also the possibility of a small child sliding out of even more tame rides like Peter Pan, so it's something that a parent always needs to keep in mind. At 40 inches, the child is more likely to be able to at least touch the floor of the ride with their toes, and that really does seem to help, too.
