Hello,

I would need some help here.
I have never visited bush gardens before. We are schedule to visit the park during our easter vacation in April.

Small question ( website not clear for me) : is there a free safari included?
Or is it better to buy an extra safari experience tyo avoid crowds?
We are buying the front of the line tickets to avoid queing for the coasters .

Many thyanks

We are going in a few weeks, but from what I can tell there are two rides that take you near the animals- Rhino Rally (open off road vehicle) and the Serengeti Express (train ride). These rides are free. To get a true close animal encounter, you would need to purchase an additional ticket for one of the many safaris or "Up Close Adventures" they offer. For example, there is a Serengeti Safari (for approx 35$ USD) that brings you up close to the animals in an open-backed truck for 30 minutes. You get information about the animals you encounter from a guide. You also get to feed the giraffes. Ages 5 and up.

Sorry, I can't give more info about crowds. Maybe someone else wil chime in.

There are also walking paths that bring you close to the animals at BG for free. But certainly going to get closer with the upclose tours.

I've done the Serengeti Safari and it is amazing. You are on a platform riding in the back of a big truck right through the savannah where you see zebras, rhinos, giraffes etc. When we went we got to feed a giraffe names Tequiza. She was beautiful. She stands right by the truck and leans into the platform area for you to hand her leaf lettuce. Both of my kids and I loved it. Anytime you can sign up for a behind the scenes type tour I would recommend it. Usually the tour is limited in how many people they will allow at a time so you get individual attention from the educators.

Have a blast!
