Has anyone tried the Magical Gatherings Safari at the Animal Kingdom? It is followed by a "African Inspired" meal at the Tusker House. I've looked everywhere to find out what the food is but I am having no luck. I have info on the Tusker House but I don't know if the food for the Safari is different. Any help would be greatly appreciated! I don't want to book this and have everyone in my group hate the food! Thanks...

Here is a menu from Christmaslady on the Dis boards (not sure if it's changed at all):
Medley of wild greens tossed with balsamic vinaigrette dressing
Minted cucumber and tomato salad
Green bean and onion salad
Artesian breads and steamed cornbread served with olive oil and dukkah (spices)
Spit roasted tandori chicken w/ grilled pineapple
Pearl coucous laced with sweet basil essence
Berbere spice crusted prime rib from the rotisserie
Roasted yukon gold potatoes
Peri peri marinated grilled salmon filet
Tomatoes and preserved lemons
Bean fritters
Cape-Malay curried lamb stew
Jollof yellow rice
Saffron infused root veggies and cabbage
Mango atjar (relishy stuff)
Blatjang chutney "
Mixed dried fruit sambal "
Moroccan baklava
Glazed fruit salad
Chocolate cake
Children could also have chicken fingers and mac n cheese.

Thank you so much Disneysailor! That is a huge help! We are not very adventerous when it comes to eating, so I wanted to make sure I knew what I was getting us into! Thanks again!

Glad it helped(thanks Christmaslady!), hope it hasn't changed much. We have two very picky eaters in our party but it seemed like the chicken, bread, fruit salad, chocolate cake and prime rib weren't too exotic and if nothing else, hopefully they'll let them share the mac and cheese and chicken fingers even though they're a little old for the kids meal even if their taste buds aren't! :) !

I was searching for some details too.
Not much response, but after a while I did get great replies from others who have done the Grand Gathering Safari Dinner, and it got rave reviews !!!!!!
Replies stated that food was fabulous, entertainment was fantastic, service was outstanding and the entire evening was wonderful !!!
Not one negative reply !!
So.....our group of 10 is booked for November. I can't wait !!
Good Luck !!
