anyone know how long it took to get your membership..I had to mail it in since there are none around here and am starting to wonder what's up. ( It's only been about 3 weeks but they said 2-3 on the phone when I asked how to sign up)

Jann1033, I called the safari club number a few weeks ago and the lady told me that I could not join over the phone. She said that I would have to wait til I go to a rainforest cafe. We don't have one near us either.

now that is odd..she told me make out a$15 dollar check to Landry and mail it along with name, address, birthdate to the address she gave me(houston I think )attention Safari club and a name I forget now) I asked about the certificate and she said to use them even if they say they expire...I think I'll email or call. have not received my bank statement yet that would include it. Hmmm, I'll post if anything comes about

I joined through the mail. The lady that handles Safari Club was very nice. I told her when our trip was scheduled and she said I would receive my card and certificate in a couple of weeks. If memory serves correctly, it was actually around 2 1/2 weeks.

hopefully this works for me also...I emailed them tonight but doubt I'll hear anything till next week. I'm going to check in the am and see if my check was cashed or not.

I sure wish the lady would have let me join through the mail. My trip is fast approaching and too late for me to try through mail now. I guess I will just have to wait until we get to Rainforest at Animal Kingdom. Hopeful this will all work out for you Jann1033

I, too, joined through the mail. However, if you have to sign up at the restaurant, it doesn't take very long. You just won't have a chance to receive a "birthday/anniversary" certificate before you go. We love the Safari Club!!

I talked to them on the phone 2 times yesterday,(once they called me in response to my email, i had already called them earlier in the day... let's just say I am just a mite obsessive!lol) you can join by mail if you have 6-8 weeks before your trip since that is how much time they allow themselves as a buffer to get your membership out. she said mine should be here by the begining of Nov which would be about 3- 4 weeks after I sent it in. she also said it will take months for my check to post! ( which is why I called since it hadn't gone through yet) actually that is nice they make sure you get it pretrip rather than having you waste the certificates!
