I heard about the Safari Club Card at the RFC on these boards and called to inquire. You can buy the card at any of the restaurants for $15.00. You get a $10.00 coupon by mail with your card but you also get a free appetizer or 10% off your food bill and 'priority seating'. We went to RFC at DTD the night we arrived. The wait at 7:00 p.m. was 1 hour and 50 minutes so I asked how long it would be with Safari Club and I was told 10-15 minutes. I bought the card in the gift shop and went back to get a seating time. The coupon that came out of the machine said 8:54 p.m. The attendant crossed that out and wrote 7:20 p.m. We were actually called at 7:15 p.m. and at our table 5 minutes later. We ate lunch at the AK RFC a few dayst later. There were 5 of us so with the 10% discount we basically paid for the card.
I would love to keep this secret, but can't. This is a must do if you like the RFC.

Thanks for the tip, I just emailed the page to my husband, we are going in dec. and there will be 3 of us and RFC in DD is one of the places we enjoy going to each time we are in Disney.

What is the Safari Club Card and what is RFC? I don't remember seeing it on the boards and can't find it. Sounds interesting though.

Hi Shelby and welcome to the DIS. RFC is Rain Forest Cafe, and the Safari club is a discount offer. You pay $15 for the card, and you get 10% off your food purchases and whenever there is a wait for seating, you get priority and don't have to wait. We have the card, and it's been very useful both in WDW and here in Chicago. I think you can choose whether or not to use the 10% discount or to pick a free appetizer. If you frequent the RFC, it's a good deal.

Wow, is that 10% off each visit? I really enjoy Rain Forest Cafe, but DH isn't a huge fan........I'm thinking if there's a 10% discount at each visit he will be much more 'understanding' about my desire to eat at Rain Forest Cafe's.

We also joined the Safari Club last year, and it was well worth it!! I highly recommend it to anyone!

I used the Safari Club card at Disneyland this June. Even at lunch on a Saturday, the wait was a hour +. My friend looked bummed and when I showed the Safari card, we were seated within 10 minutes. She was truly amazed.

I actually bought it for our family trip in July, but ds wanted to eat at ESPN Zone!

packy, we had an experience similar to yours...the Safari Club was worth it just for the quick seating! On top of all the benefits that have been mentioned, I got a $5 cert. in the mail a few days ago from the Safari Club for my birthday, and I have until the end of the year to use it. Well worth the initial $15!

Thanks everyone for this tip!!!!! I love RFC especially dessert! I just wish I had read this sooner, i just came back froman 8 day trip and ate there like 3 times . Lol I have called and my card is on the way now!

You can order the card over the phone (which is what I did), but it does take 6-8 weeks for you to receive it. I figure if we use it once it will have paid for itself. After all, you get $10 of the initial $15 fee back as a gift certificate and then 10% off for a family of five adults for supper will cover the rest.

The terms and conditions page that came with my card said that if there are 12 consecutive months with no activity on the card that it will become invalid and you would need to re-enroll and pay the fee again.

aslong as you use it a once a year at any of the listed landry rest. it renews for free.
