Sadly....back from our Thanksgiving trip!

Sadly, we had to head back home on Sunday the 28th. We had a great time on our first holiday visit to the world! Stayed at Yacht Club (don't flame me.....I know it's not a DVC resort!!!)...great place, but really missed our villas! It would have been great to have the kitchen and the larger space for the holidays. But all in all it was fun!

The only down side was that I really thought that the parks would be more decorated. Most of them it was just at the front. Don't get me wrong, they were beautiful, I just thought there would be more.

Got some great pictures of the gingerbread at the BC and the trees, etc in the parks. Highly recommend making the trip at least once to check it all out....just watch out for the crowds.

How were the crowds? We are considering a Thanksgiving week trip in 2013, but it looks like crowds won't be any less than spring break.

We just left the 29th from our family vacation. We stayed at Animal
Kingdom for the first time and had a Grand Villa. Let me just say this, you haven't lived until you stayed at Animal Kingdom in a Grand Villa. They told us the room we had is bigger then the presidential suite at the resort. I could have lived there. After 5 nights we moved to the Beach Club in a two bedroom , the size difference was like going back to a studio! Four of our friends have never been to Disney so I think we spoiled them staying in the Grand Villa. We were soooooooo sad to leave! Everyone has already been asking when were going back!( there were 10 of us) I talked my wife ( it didn't take much) into a 10 day stay at BCV in August, I already checked availability and i am booking tomorrow! Start the countdown!

It would be fine in the mornings, but once you got past lunch the crowds increased significantly. I don't know if I would say Spring break levels, but very crowded.
