Well, we were supposed to go on our honeymoon from Oct. 8-11 too bad it isn't going to happen now I have been planning since March, my FH has been working through a temporary aggency for over a yeah and half on the same job, finally they hiring him into the company YAY! But... He will be on a 90 day probation period which doesn't end until Oct 25th He has to move to a new area for his hired in spot, his old boss said he could probably get it but apparently the new boss isn't going to even try. Ad then I noticed yesturday that he has orrintation on the 11th so even if they would have let him have the two days off we can't go.

We may just postpone it for a little while, we are looking at Thanksgiving weekend 25-30 (he'll have two vacation days, so we'll get an extra day) but I am waiting on him to find out if he can request the days off NOW! I have a feeling someone else may have already asked for them off since it is a holiday.

Are other choices are the first or second weekend of December...

I am just really concerened (we lose $500 due to not being able to use our plaine tix) and now Tix are almost $100 more! And then I'm concerned about getting a hotel on this short notice.

Ugh...I am so sad Now i should take off my counter..man that makes me want to cry....

CharityLynn, that sucks. I'm so sorry!

Has your FH tried discussing this to HR or his boss? I used to work at a place that pretty much had a police force for vacation policies, and usually they were ok with making exceptions in the event of travel plans that were confirmed prior to the promotion date, especially when the tix are non-refundable. Especially considering that it's a honeymoon, I imagine that it's at least worth a shot.

At least the big picture is worth celebrating - your FH got hired permanently and you're getting married! Congrats!!!

Sorry to hear about the vacation changes. I would totally be bummed out too. But congtrats to his new job! On a postive note, if you go Late November/December you will be there when WDW is all decked out for the holidays. How beautiful!!

Well I jumped the gun. My FH's boss oked the two days off but he has been told if he misses on other days in that 90 day period he will be fired.

Is this job already a done deal..Just a thought but why don't you have the Agency that he was temping through negotiate the honeymoon time off for him.

It is different with each situation but it is worth a try.

Thank you all so much. I am such a worrier, I worry about everything. Which is why this wedding has been fairly stressfull, but I know it will all work out in the end and this is proof

BTW- Fantasia Sam, I love the last picture in your signature.I wonder if you need a special camera or just fast film, I would love a picture like that from our honeymoon.
