oh I am so sorry. I read your update. This is so sad.
I've been there with the sobbing though. We lost our 3 yr old kitty at the vet's office(was supposed to be routine procedure). truly heartbreaking.

So sorry to hear the sad news.

We returned from vacation and noticed our kitty wasn't his usual self. Over the course of a few days he seemed to get worse, he wasn't eating or drinking.

We took him to the vet and they determined his kidneys had failed. We faced the same heartbreaking decision OP. At first I blamed myself for being away, but he was getting excellent care from a professional pet sitter. The vet said I shouldn't blame myself and it had nothing to do with our absense. He was almost 16. We were lucky to have him for that long.

I'm so sorry to hear about your sweet little furbaby. One of the most painful things we do is to make the decision to stop their suffering when nothing else can be done. Even when you know it's best for them, it's such a hard decision and absolutely breaks your heart.

You and your family will be in my thoughts and prayers. Maybe Madge is hanging out in kitty heaven with our two furry boys that we lost over the last 13 months.
