I've been looking at pics of the FJ line and came across these two. The first one is described as the Architect of Hogwarts

The second one is Salazthar Slytherin

I'm wondering if these are the only 2 statues and, if so, why was Slytherin singled out and not the other three founders of Hogwarts?
Does anyone who's been, know this please?

The only thing I can think of would be because both of these statues are shown in the movies. I know for sure the architect is shown and I believe the statue of Salazar Slytherin is shown also, although I can't remember which movie for the latter.

In the books it came across Slytherin was pretty full of himself and the people in his house were all about him. Narcssim or a generous alumni donation perhaps? :goodvibes

Hahaha! You're right about Salazar! I would love to see a statue of my house founder, Rowena Ravenclaw, but sadly I don't think there is one. *sigh*

I know the last movie is not out yet, but if you remember towards the end of the last book, Luna takes Harry upstairs to the Ravenclaw common room to see Rowena Ravenclaw's statue so he can see what her diadem looks like. I'm surprised her statue isn't in the FJ ride since that diadem was such an important part of that last book.:confused3

I can't understand why there isn't one of Godric Gryffindor as he's so important. I'm not an HP expert by any means. There isn't a possibility that he was the architect, is there?

Funny you should say this because up until reading this thread (and only having been through the castle once) I assumed the two statues WERE Gryffindor and Slytherin!

I read somewhere that the 4 animals around his feet are the 4 animals associated with each of the 4 school houses. Very puzzling!

I don't know what the actual intention was, but it seemed to me like the park follows the time period of Books 1-4 and doesn't really deal with anything past that. Of course there are allusions to the DA (ex. the room of requirement), but overall I felt like most of the focus was on the more "light-hearted" adventures of Harry Potter. They don't even have signs for Cedric for the Tri-Wizard tournament!

Yes, the animals are associated with the 4 school houses.

According to Harry Potter Wiki :

This individual (fl. circa 993) was the architect responsible for planning and designing Hogwarts Castle, [1] along with Founder Rowena Ravenclaw who devised the ever-changing floorplan.

There is a golden statue of this individual at Hogwarts Entrance Hall, in which he is shown among the four house mascots holding a model of Hogwarts on one of his hands, and charts and a set square in the other.[2]

And in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets it is stated :

"The Chamber is lined with statues of snakes, and a large statue of Salazar Slytherin is at the centre. "

So maybe I didn't see that statue in the movies. :confused3

Yeah I knew her statue was mentioned in the book but I have yet to see it represented at the park from the pictures in the book. I would love for them to have the statue at the park but that is probably asking for too much. :wizard:

Maybe in the future when they possibly add Diagon Alley! haha!
