Sabal Palms-walk to MOWC-really?

Is it really possible to walk from the units in Sabal Palms to the pool at the MOWC? What about during the heat of late May?
Is there a shuttle running between the two? Has anyone been to Sabal Palms recently and could give an update??

We stayed at Royal Palms which is right next to Sabal Palms (actually I think it is a bit closer to MOWC than Sabal) and we did walk to MOWC pool. It was a bit of a hike, all on the interior road system of the MOWC meaning that you are not walking down the highway or anything but it was a long walk. The next time we drove and parked but it was still a bit of a walk from the parking to the pool. I think there was a shuttle that ran inside the resort but I would call the resort directly (meaning call Sabal Palms) and ask about that. Have fun! We thought it was a really nice place to stay! Can't beat the location for an offsite resort.

Any other opinions as to the nicest 2 BR Marriott timeshare units connected to MOWC?

We love the MOWC. The only downfall of the place is you have to walk and walk to get anywhere. Especially the parking area. When we first styed there I didn't call for the shuttle bus to take us back to the resort. After a long day in the parks, the last thing you want to do is walk some more. After that, every time we stay at the resort we call the shuttle bus to pick us up at the parking lot. We did tour the timeshare units next to the resort itself. I think they were the royal palms. They are beautiful. Spacious, clean and nicely decorated. They have there own pool area also. But the pool at the resort itself can't be beat. If walking doesn't bother you too much, I'm sure you can walk from the timeshare units to the resort itself, just be prepared to be tired when you reach your destinatiion.

We love Marriott, and these units do sound like something we need to consider! Does anyone know for sure which of the Palms units are the very closest to the MOWC pool??
