SAB Slide closed Jan3-Feb25...

I called MS this morning and they told me the slide portion of the pool would not be closed then. At least for the weekend of Jan.7-11.

According to the Rec Manager at the BC/YC from a previous thread on the resorts board - the pool will be closed in three phases. I think they were Oct. Then Nov-first part of Dec and then Jan-Feb. Each part of the pool was to be closed in those phases and the slide part was the last phase.

At the time the manager was asked - MS knew nothing about any pool closings at BC/YC. So now they apparently know about some of it?

Just relaying some history here - of course, anything could have changed.

I have personally spoke to the YC/BC Recreation manager when this topic was bought up a few weeks ago...he told me just what Kathleena had posted above....It will be in phases...if the WHOLE POOL is to be closed they would notify the guests but that is not what is happening...I will be staying at the BCV on T day week and i was concerned myself and was told the little kiddie section will be closed in Nov...

just got a postalmail from the DVC today informing us that certain parts of the pool will be closed during the stay..If you are staying there during the refurbishment you will get a letter too...

Thanks Melinda! I knew that someone had talked with that Rec Manager. If anyone would know, then I would think he would!
