I know most of the WDW pools are heated (which I HATE, but what can you do!). I thought SAB was more like TL or BB than a standard pool and was wondering if the water there was "bath tub tepid" or refreahingly cool like TL and BB water.

I was there in march and it was refreshing, not too cold, not too warm, tolerable. This time of year, definitely warm stuff. My pool in Delaware is 90 degrees! So I can't imagine how warm it will be...No matter what, it's one of the best water attractions at a resort in the World and beyond.

Was there last week. It was hard to tell if it was heated, because it was so stinkin hot anyway.

Storm Along Bay at yacht/beach club. :teacher:

We were there in June and thought the water at SAB was WAY TOO HOT!!!

I guess, living in the south we are used to unheated pools. What's the point of hot pool water in 90 degree weather?

It actually felt more like hot tub water than bathtub water to us.

But SAB was usually pretty crowded, so there were plenty of people there who didn't seem to mind. I think it all depends on what you like and what you're used to.

We found the quiet pool to be much cooler, so we did our swimming there.

When we were there the water was so warm we could not cool off in the pool. It would be better at night to swim but during the day....I'll pass.

akl,and poly both in Sept. hot as could be..
found this on deb's allears site,
:sunny:
Count 'em: the CBR has nine pools, including the Spanish fort-themed main pool at Old Port Royale (with water slide, water cannons, and waterfalls), the adjacent wading pool and whirlpool, and six village pools (one in each village). All pools are heated to 85 degrees, which makes for comfortable swimming year-round. The whirlpool is kept at a very toasty 105 degrees. Bring towels from your room; they are not available at poolside except at the Old Port Royale pool. Housekeeping will be more than happy to replace towels taken from the room.

WOW!!! I am a NATIVE FLORIDIAN temporarily mispalced (yes, misplaced) ;) in Ohio and when we were at SSR in January of this year. That pool was so cold :cold: my DD5 and DD13 along with DH only managed to stay in for about 5 minutes because the water was FREEZING!

Why is it that because I LOVE it HOT :sunny: and HATE it COLD :cold: ....it just never works out for me?
