SAB crowded in August?

Just booked BC for early August. I was wondering how crowded SAB is and is it impossible to get chairs? It doesn't look like there is a lot of room for chairs. Also, how hard is it to keep an eye on 3 kids? The youngest is 10 and they are all good swimmers but I have a fear of losing them!

SAB is always crowded in the summer including august. SAB also has the problem of "saved" chairs all day. The saving starts I believe at sun-up and continues most of the day. We have went out at 9am and there were already no chairs. But , sab is a large area so we just put our stuff down and went in the pool. The pools are not as crowded as the pool deck. Plenty of room there. As for watching your kids, that depends if they will all stay in the same area. There are 3 main areas of the pool, and they are spread out. It would be difficult to watch separate areas. They would need to stay in the same sections. SAB is a lot of fun, and a great pool. The BC is one of our favorite resorts.

SAB is always crowded in August. People stake out chairs very early in the morning. We always swim in the afternoon and follow the abandonment rule: if there are only used towels on the chairs, we ask the neighbors if anyone is sitting there. If they reply in the negative, we plop down. In 16 years at Disney, we haven't had a problem. Like any pool, people will leave their towels and just walk away. Why? I have never figured that out.

As far as losing the 3 kiddos, keep an eye on them and you'll be fine.
