I'm still trying to figure this all out...
We are traveling with the family... 9 of us total. We are staying at Disney but will spend some time at Universal too. If my family (2adults, 2 teens) purchases the dining program we would definitely have left over meals due to being at US for part of our stay. If my inlaws (who are on a seperate ressie) don't purchase the DDP, can we share? ie- if we were all at Boma can I use two of my TS options and get two meals for myself and then give one meal to one of them?
Also, if we split up could one of them take my meal voucher/card and use it instead of me or does Disney check for names?

The dining plan states that it is not transferable. I'd advise your calling Disney Dining at 407-WDW-DINE and posing your question to them.

Topper is correct. The Dining Plan in non-transferrable. For further information you'll have to contact Disney Dining directly, due to forum rules.

Someone more knowledgable correct me if I am wrong, but if you are spending a day at Univeral, then you will presumably not be buying a MYW ticket for that day of your trip, so therefore you will not have dining credits for that day.

My meaning:
You are going for 5 days (let's say), and one of those days you are spending at another park. So you will buy a 4 day park ticket with dining option, which would include 4 days of dining credits. So your one day at Universal will not waste any dining credits.

Can anyone confirm this? Perhaps I am mistaken, and the dining credits are more tied to your nights at the resort than to the park tickets?

Dining Plan purchase is tied to the number of nights of your reservation, not to the number of days of admission you purchase.
