S.S. member Cruises

Uggggg! We just received the flyer also and had been thinking about doing the 2011 cruise. But.....we also are flying to WDW on the 2nd. It's pretty much an all day trip and we'll be in the air before MS opens and the layover really isn't long enough to get a booking from the sounds of it.

So I guess that decision is made. :sad2:

They will be keeping a wait list for those that can't get thru or decide later to go.

DW and I are booked on the four day on 5/1/11 already. We're thinking we might change to the members cruise but really need to see what the pricing is going to be to see if the premium isn't going to be too high.

We're booked on the same cruise :thumbsup2

The point chart and prices for the 2011 Member Cruise is now available on the DVCmember.com website.

Thank you. I am going to check it out. I really can't see the point chart but much appreciated.:thumbsup2
Look under LATEST NEWS not Vacation Planning Tools (Point Charts). The link for the Member Cruise point chart is embedded in the article for S.S. Member Cruise 2011 ... under heading "Booking the Cruise."

I can't believe this, but my Dh agreed to it. Now, to be one of the lucky ones to be able to book it. Good luck to those who want to go.

Ouch! For the members cruise for the same cat room type (4B) I'm paying on a 5/1/11 cruise for two adults it's $797 more, minus the tips since they're included. If we decide to go probably going to move to a cat 5B room, don't need the extra space of the 4's, just wanted to check them out for the next cruise where we take the grandkids along.

cash rates in same ballpark as im paying end of July (pre onboard booking discount)

imo, the cash prices don't seem as 'steep' as past years, or else im just numb;)

just be clear, if able to book all on cash (or is there a 1 person point requirement:confused:) does it include the gratuities?popcorn::

Yes, you can book all cash if you wish. Prices include all taxes, port fees & tips.

I don't think it much different than our cruise this coming April. It's $500 more for concierge but the member cruise is an extra day. Can we do two cruises in one year? (we'll have to see!!) One being our first cruise ever!

Comparing prices of regular 4-night cruises on Wonder and Dream, it seems that Dream is a bit cheaper, probably because there are more cabins available (except insides which are really scarce on Dream, less than 100 I think).

Only negative point for me is the booking date, we leave Switzerland for Orlando on the morning of Oct. 2 (CET) and our first stop is Philadelphia around 2PM but then we have to go through Immigration and on another flight, so probably no time to call either. Arriving in MCO at 6.20PM :-(

Hopefully I find someone to call in my name...

thank you, we've cruised in Oct; now to evaluate if we want to chance possible weather issues late Sept;)

Soooo tempting!!! We have friends that tried getting us to book our first cruise with them for a late May '11 trip on the Dream but by the time we said "ok" the prices were over $4k (ouch). This member cruise might just be the kick in the pants we need to get us on a cruise. Decisions!!!

I can't see the point/cash chart very well and can't remember my log-in info for the member site. Does anyone have a slightly better jpg of the chart? I'm trying to see (ballpark) what it would cost for my family of four (DH, Me, DS10, DS6) to go. TIA
