My family is planning a trip to DL next year. Due to a larger party size, we'll need to get a 2 bedroom suite. The Grand Cal won't be in our budget, but we like DL hotel better than Paradise Pier. So now I have a few questions. When will the construction at the hotel be done? Is it really a distraction? Also, I hope I heard/read wrong, but is it true the Neverland pool is gone, and they'll be out of a pool for some months? ...... Thanks in advance.

By next year do you mean January of 2011 or Fall or 2011. If it's the later, t's true the pool/grounds are all being changed. I suspect you will get to use a new pool so I wouldn't make this a major concern. Also if there is any construction going on, it will be at the tail end and most of the resort will look fresh and new.

I would guess you will have a really high chance of being in a refurbed room. I'm not so sure you will get a new pool, they will probably be aiming to have one half of the pool done for summer so I bet they will being detailed work and landscaping at that time. No matter what if they don't have a pool available you can use the ones at the PPH or GCH as an alternative.

This alone may be a big deciding factor on where to stay. We may just stay at the PP. Thanks for your help.

The neverland pool is currently open, the cove pools are closed. I don't know how much that'll change in teh coming months.

The CM's have been saying the Neverland Pool will be open until the new Monorail pool area is complete. Whether this is 100% is anyone's guess.

Do you have to stay at 1 of the 3 DLR hotels ~ there are several that are just as close or closer, some are quite nice. Of the 3 the DLH is my favorite.

We REALLY want to stay at a resort hotel, but I have stayed at some nice off sight hotels before. ..SO hoping we can end up staying at the Grand Cal.
