hi, does anyone know when the contemporary updates will be done? and when they will close down one side of the tower?tia!

Right now, it sounds like they are just in the planning stages. A poster on another thread called the Contemporary directly, and they knew nothing of it. She was also transferred to CRO because they keep a list of rehabs, and they also had nothing on it. The DIS January newsletter that contained the info (with no timeline) has mysteriously disappeared.

The Orlando Sentinel has reported hearing a rumor that Disney’s Contemporary Resort is set to undergo a complete overhaul in the near future. This matches up with another rumor we had previously reported on that they might start work to add a set of DVC rooms to the resort after the end of the 2004 holiday season. Anyway, they went on to say that New York designer Jeffery Beers is in charge of the revamp that will include a complete recreation of the dining experiences inside the resort including the rooftop California Grill, Concourse Steakhouse, Chef Mickey’s and an all new restaurant experience.

This is all that I have heard.

as i have posted before when we were there in oct a cl cm told us that she had already seen one of the new rooms and they are spectacular so i dont doubt that it is happening just dont think anybody really knows when. i cant wait though!!!
