I will be at VB June 16-21. I have a few questions regarding the cost (if any) for the following activities:

1. mini golf
2. turtle hatching program
3. tennis courts usage
4. kids club/ activities
5. beach chair rentals
6. bike rentals
7. videos/ other games

Also, do they have grills at VB? We like to cook out occasionally... well actually DH does (I
prefer to eat out on vacation!)

TIA! Please post other activities if you know of any our group of 8 will enjoy (4 adults 4 kids ages 12,10,7,6)

I don't know all your answers, but I'll try on some:

1. Mini golf is free for members.
3. Tennis courts free for members (I think)
5. Beach chair rentals were about $8-9 for 2 chairs and an umbrella (I think).
6. I know there is a small charge for bikes, but can't remember what it is.
7. Videos are free.

They have grills in the picnic area across the street in the Hundred Acre Woods. There are basketball courts over there too.

The tour of the Piper Aircraft factory is pretty interesting and it's free. You do need reservations, and I think there is an age limit for children.

Kennedy Space Center is only about an hour or so away and is terrific way to spend a day.

KCritter covered it all! I would only add that for us, time just spent relaxing at the beach or pool is priceless. As was just sitting and listening to the music with a drink at the Green Cabin Room. Have a great time!

When we visited in June, mini-golf was $1 for members. The beach chair rental was $5 per day and the umbrella was $9 per day for members. By the way you can rent them for the whole week or just certain days in the same location. We did this and found it to be great no rushig to the beach to rent before they were all taken. They were nice and laid our towels out for us so we just went down when we got ready! Tennis courts are free and bikes we did not do so Ic an't help there.

Activities it varies; free and up. Family bingo was fun and we won free putt-passes, Certain crafts for kids ranged from $1.50 and up. They offered free scavenger hunts, etc.

Sorry read your post again and noticd the ages. They also offer for free several sporting activities for kids. We were drawn for the turtle walk our first try and completely enjoyed it but its luck of the draw and theres a limit to how many can partcipate per room. I believe they offer an educational lecture and video for free to all. If you happen to be there on I believe a Wed they have a Jepoardy type game for DVC members in a grand villa. You earn points when you answer questions right and get to pick out gifts. We enjoyed it but we're corny. But we did walk out with a free VB beach towel that was like $20 in the gift shop and about 6 or 7 other freebie gifts.

Last time we were there mini golf was $1 for members and $2 for non members. They did have a "golf tourney" a couple of times during the week which was free. As noted, they many times give out free golf passes, I think I still have a couple put away.
