My husband and I are looking into staying at the PBH in July of this year. We will be celebrating our 10 year anniversary. We are DVC owners and love Disney. We are going on a solo trip for 5 nights. We haven't been to Universal in many years. I think it may be to hot to go in July, but my husband thinks it will be a great time. We expect to do 2 days in the park and the other time at the pool and use the spa. I think I will have a hard time seeing kids, since I am leaving my 4 year old at home. I am always looking for the best rate. We would like a deluxe room. What is the Fan Club and how do I get it? I have the number to call for the Loews card. I also am under the impression that I get the Entertainment discount with my Disney Club card. It has thier logo on the back of the card. I imagine there will probably be no discounts this late in the game, but never hurts to ask. Any suggestions or information would be greatly appreciated!

I got a good rate through the Entertainment card for this hotel on July 19. You might also check hotwire as I believe it was offered on my date (you can tell by the icons if it is this hotel). And there was a good fun rate offered the bay view room offered by the Universal website on my night too.

I would call 1 800 BE A STAR and see what rates are available first before getting the cards. If you are given a great rate that makes you happy book it, you dont need the card to do that just at check-in. You Disney Card with the Entertainment logo will not work at Universal Hotels, you would have to get the entertainment book (any area) www.entertainment.com

Next go to www.loewshotels.com and join their Loews First Program. (free) Just gives you some nice perks and a possible room upgrade should it be available when you check-in.

Loews Universal Hotels offer AAA, Fan Club, Entertainment Card, AP, and sometimes their own promotional rates. When you call just ask for any promotional rates that may be available for your dates. If all else fails you can try the other online disconters for your dates for a better price than rack rate at the hotel.

Go ahead and call the 800-uescape # first and check rates and dates. Ask for all the discounted rates jessica mentioned. If they have something you want book it then get the apporiate card. If it's a fan club card rate you need you can look at the top of this board we have memebers that would gladly send you out a card. The ent. rate is mostly likely the best rate going if it's not sold out for your dates. Good Luck and you will LOVE PBH & the spa.

Thank you all for the information. I was actually able to get the entertainment rate of $180.00 p/n for deluxe, hotel only. I could not even get a deluxe room as a package. The man on the package line was soooo rude. I was really taken back. I am so used to Disney. Anyway, after hours of researching, we are unable to go now. There is stuff going down at my husbands company and we have to hold off for awhile. But, as usuall thank you all for the information. This is really the best site ever, with the best people!
