?s about Teppan Edo

Does anyone know whether Teppan Edo is open for lunch? Also, has anyone taken a toddler to Teppan Edo? Has it gone well? TIA

Last year, Aug 2008, I took a 6,4,and 1 year old for lunch there.
At first, I thought oh God, why did I book this...they are not going to eat anything....

BUT...this was their favorite place to eat in EPCOT
my daughter loved the rice and the boys ate shrimp, rice and veggies. they loved the presentation at the table. we were seated with a family of four and everyone had a great time.
The food was absolutely awesome and the kids were entertained the whole time just as long as they had food, they were happy. with the cook constantly making something new, they were trying it and eating it up!

I agree w the prior poster. we did lunch w my 6 and 9 year old.

I cant believe we waited this long to go to Teppen Edo.

My 9 year old got the chicken and ate most of my shrimp - and my kids are not adventuresome eaters.

Yes and yes. Lunch starts at 12:00. I love Teppen Edo. My DD was 28 mths last time and will be almost 3 this time when we go. Taking a toddler is not a problem at all. With them sitting in the high chair, there is NO WAY they could reach the grill, unless they stood on the highchair and leaned WAY over. Now, I was a little nervous about her shoving her plastic cup towards the grill and it going on there, but we had no problems. She liked playing with the chop sticks and watching the show. She doesn't eat well, so I just brought her a bowl of fruit but she did like the noodles!

Personally - this is one of my favorite restaurants, it is so good. We are eating there 2 times this next trip and my mom 3!!

My 2yr old hates hibachi restaurants, because it's so loud. The chefs are constantly banging and slapping their untensils around. And they usually light a fire on the grill as well which terrified my son.

Probably depends on the child. My 2 have loved it since they were 3 & 4. My DS is now 7 and it's still his #1 request when we go.

We are going with a 1 year old this November and I have to admit I never thought about the loud noises....

We'll still try it, she's pretty good with noise. I have seen other small children then and they seemed to have no problem. There is also a great kids menu and one of the meals even comes in a monorail....
