Our family is booked for Category 9, which is 214 square feet.

I noticed that the Navigator's verandah is 268 feet. The extra footage is the verandah itself, right?

(We'd probably book a verandah for next cruise if it was extra space in the room.)

Thanks!:sunny:

Most if not all of the extra room is on the veranda (any veranda, not just the Navigators).

I could be wrong but I don't think the extra square footage is in the verandah. We went with a Cat 6 that was 268 square ft and that was all stateroom footage. I thought the reason a Cat 7 cost a little less was because of the unusual, metal type balcony. You can go to www.cruisestateroom.com and it give a lot of info on staterooms.

I'm pretty sure the extra square footage is the verandah. The verandahs in cats 4, 5 and 6 are approximately 40 square feet.

they told me the extra square footage was the verandah, and that the difference between a cat 8 and cat 7 was only the verandah and that otherwise the rooms were identical. Haven't used a measuring tape personally to find out myself ;)

Categories 5 through 10 have exactly the same inside dimensions (except accessible rooms and other unusual rooms). The extra square footage in categories 5 & 6 is precisely the size of the veranda.
