Ok, I signed up online and love the fact that they give you custom meal plans for free...but I have to think they work with the grocery stores...lol. :rotfl2: The weekly shopping list is huge and looks like it would cost me well over $150 weekly... yikes! I spend around $150 for two weeks now... there is no way I could afford that much. SO, ?... can't you just do the slimfast for two meals a day and then a sensible dinner? Skip all the big to do dinners they suggest?
Buy veggies/fruits for snacks? Or low cal snacks and stay withen the recommended range of calories they give you?

Also for having to lose so much weight it suggests eating a small meal with each shake... aka french toast 1 slice with a smoothie in the morning, and say tuna salad on wheat w/ shake for lunch... does this sound right? It seems like a TON of food to me.

I answered the other post you had about using SF and what I have been doing. I disagree that you need to add in all those other products. However, I would try to make sure you have some fresh veggies and other healthy, low-calorie snacks to keep around the house for when you do get hungry in-between your shakes.

Here's what I've been keeping on hand for different snacks:
carrots/celery (the old stand bys)
low-fat eng muffins (90 calories & .5 g/fat)
laughing cow low-fat cheese (yum!)
skinny corn chips

french twists by barry's bakery

campbell's soup at hand-lots of low-fat/low-cal varieties
pop-secret snack size bags of popcorn (110 cal 2 g/fat in the whole bag!)
nilla wafers (reduced fat)
oreo thin crisps (100 cal 2 g/fat in the small bag)
different fruits

Anyway-i hope this helps & if you have a WalMart nearby check to see if they carry the "Equate" brand of shakes, they are pretty cheap $3.47 for 6!

I think that those plans just complicate things. I think if you are faithful with your two shakes for breakfast and lunch and only snack on fruits and veggies and other low-fat snacks, you shouldn't have to worry so much about supper - as long as it is within reason. At least, I hope so. This is my plan...along with lots of water.
