We are thinking about going to the Luau on our 1st night, but we would also like to see Wishes. How long is the Luau? Will we be able to get over to the MK in time to see Wishes at 8pm if we do the earlier show? Do we have to order the kids food or do they just bring it out with the adults? Any info would be great. Thanks.

You can definately see Wishes if you do the earlier Luau show. If i'm not mistaken the whole show is 2 hrs. We went to the early show in Sept and left in plenty of time to see Wishes. Of course, you might want to check the calendar and see what time Wishes is scheduled for that night.
We ordered the kids food and it came out with the adult meals. The girls ate most of the apps with us, since they were kid friendly. You could probably ask them for their food early if need be.

Is it "obvious" how to get to the Poly Beach when you leave the Luau? I would like to try this also. Do they still play the music or do I remember reading that they stopped doing that?

Also, is the can you see all the fire works our just some? I remember some are much lower behind the castle.

I seem to recall it being very easy to get to the "beach" from the Luau.
And these days we always watch the fireworks from outside the parks (usually from a restaurant observation area). The view and sound are just fine!!
