Ok what's the catch with this?

£1 per person per flight. Just did a test for 3 of us from the 15th (Fri) to 18th (Mon), to Paris for a long weekend (there are loads of other places to go too) total cost, £6.

Got to be fees or something added on after I confirm right?

if you can get it for that price, go for it, ryanair are just trying to make all their money by adding charges to check in at airport, if you take a bag (they hit you with 2 charges if you take luggage, one for the case and one for checking in at the airport), if you want early boarding.... i still fly with them as they're cheap but they're starting to annoy me with all the stupid charges they add on. it was on the news earlier that they're considering charging overweight people more. they're going over the top with the fees now. but they're still cheap, so i keep flying with them, i just try and avoid as many of the charges as possible

I may be wrong but I think it was Ryanair that recently started charging for using the toilets onboard! :sad2:

They will charge you for each piece of luggage & then the usual taxes & fuel charges on top of the £1.

It sounds to good to be true. ;)

True Claire it is Ryanair that are now charging you to use the toilet :sad2::mad:.x.

With the £1 offer, there are no tax's or fuel costs. :S I did another day which costs £9.99 each and they added those on, but not for the £1 bookings. I got to the payment stage and it said the total amount to be paid would be £6!

I didn't add on any bags or insurance though.

I can't use this offer, we haven't got our passports yet, but if it's not a big con then maybe some of you can have a nice cheap long weekend away :D

Great offer then! Even when you add on the luggage charges etc. :thumbsup2

They ahven't started charging for the toilets YET but if they do I can see some challenges in the ECHR for degrading treatment!

Claire ;)

I can't believe they're considering charging overweight people more, IMO that is discrimination. The toilet charging I don't think has been implemented as yet, but is being considered

So what if you have children and no change? Would they really prefer them to pee all over the plane? Can't see how that would work, it's daft!

Not the toilets YET but they look to be in the latter stages of implementing a fat tax. Some of their suggestions for meeting the criteria are ridiculous.

i dont fall anywhere near the guidelines that they're looking at using for the fat tax, but SERIOUSLY there are NO words that i can post on here for how absolutely ridiculous i think this is. this has got to break some of the discrimination rules somewhere. its taking things wayyyyy too far, just another of ryanair's stupid make money quick schemes.

ive just been stung...booked for nine of us from work as 2 girls are leavin,
goin to dublin for one night, £3.77 each return lookin good so far, hit confirm button, confirmation read 9 x £10 charges for administration fee bookin by debit card (how else can you pay???):scared1: only if you book with electron do you not get charged

i feel scammed, its sill not bad price but i still feel a bit peeved

I was thinking the same thing it seems abit too good to be true,Surely there is extra charges on that. If not its a good price but I wouldnt give them my money after they declared they want to charge overweight people! and toilets never heard anything more ridiculous.

If only Ryanair would be more upfront with their fees I am sure they would make millions more than they do.
I have used Jet2, Easyjet, BMIbaby, Thomsons, had some mega cheap flights to Holland. Ryanair is only airline I won't even look at, just don't like the way they work.

OMG I just went on the Ryanair website and found this page:

http://www.ryanair.com/site/EN/news.php?yr=09&month=apr&story=gen-en-220409

"These charges, if introduced might also act as an incentive to some of our very large passengers to lose a little weight and hopefully feel a little lighter and healthier."

I suppose as a fat person I should be insulted but I think it's more ridiculous and quite sad that a 'fat tax' was the most popular poll result  Must admit though, this option made me chuckle:
€1 for toilet paper – with O’Leary’s face on it
