RVUSA - Wireless Internet

Yep, that is the way to go, if you only use it once in a while. That is what I went to att to do, but the guy there told me to buy air card, use it return it within a month get money back. From now on, I am tethering as well. May be slower, but LOTS cheaper, I think we have about 14000 rollovers, we loose about 7000 a month. LOL

I have the Verizon air card along with 2 Verizon cell phones and Verizon home line all for right at $155/mo. I don't have cable at home but DirecTV so the Verizon air card is my only internet service and have really enjoyed it's flexibility. When I had internet service thru my wife's work I had to pay $30/mo for a second land line along with $55/mo for my wife's work service so for $60 vs. the old $85/mo for the Verizon air card I'm saving money.

That is a great deal. I pay $140 now for just 3 cell phones. How many minutes do you have on your plan?? We can change in July, so I will definitely look at Verizon. Thanks for the info!!!!

We've got two cells both with Verizon service. And, on one of them, we turned on the wireless "FEATURE" (important to use that word, and not "PLAN") which we can get on a monthly basis..... this way, months that we're not traveling, we can turn the feature off. It's like $30 a month. We tether the cell to the laptop with a cord. If you have cell service, you'll have internet service.

It's been a satisfactory arrangement for us for a solid year, and we'll continue.

The air card is $60/mo and we have the family plan cell phones with IIRC 450min peak with unlimited night/weekend and free cell phone to cell phone minutes and IIRC it's $49 for the plan and $10 more for each additional phone so that's roughly $60/mo and the land line is right at $30/mo.

My air card has unlimited minutes, but Verizon just changed that to a 5GB/mo service with surcharges over that. However, unless you do a lot of real time streaming video or lots of movie downloads you won't reach that limit and the air card software now allows you to check on your usage for the current mo or by session. I've never used over 2.2 GB in a month with most months only running around 1.2GB.
