Ruth & James 10/04/11 *~* TR Day 7 updated 03/11 *~*

I'm going to say it again, I am in love with your shoes :lovestruc Not quite sure if I said it in my head but anyway just wanted to make the point again :rotfl:
Your bridesmaid dresses are lovely, I love the colour and the style of them.
Back on your previous post that I did read but it must have been that early that I didn't comment?? Your dress is lovely, very princess like :goodvibes And i'm glad that your Dad liked his Mickey Mouse cuff-links...it was a Disney wedding after all...what more could he expect ;)
Also the blue on your cake is gorgeous they definitely did a good job with that :thumbsup2 Looking forward to your next post.

I 'loved' my shoes too... they broke on the 2nd time of wearing them. They're now expensive shoe ornaments.

The cake was the most amazing cake I've ever eaten, I miss it. Lol. No I really do. :') xx

Love all of the photos! You both look amazing!

:) Yay on being married!

xxx

Thank you :goodvibesI still can't 100% believe I'm married. xx

Ruth,

Three fabulous updates!!!

Love the day at AK! Paul won't ride that one either. The first time I did, he knew the minute I walked off that I wanted to do it again. So, I can totally understand sneaking back in line for a second ride. ;)

Love all the wedding pics! Cassie did a fabulous job! You look lovely! Glad that you loved "Part of Your World" for walking down the aisle. It is one of my favorites and I have been thinking of using it as well to walk down the aisle to. I even thank Paul in my vows for allowing me to be "part of his world".

Can't wait to see you upstage Cinderella!

EE is the one ride in WDW I could do over and over again.

'Part of your world' is such a wonderful song, gives me goosebumps. I think you should deff walk down the ailse to it. Thats a lovely touch to include it in your vows. :lovestruc xx

Look you beautiful!! Everything looks like it was amazing and I love love love your cake!

Thank you! It was an amazing day and I wish I could go back and relive it. xx

Oh, I love all of your pictures! You look gorgeous. :lovestruc

Thank you for you lovely comments, just what I need to see after a lousy week at work. Made me feel a whole lot better :goodvibes xx

Awww, ur hubby looks like he wanted 2 eat u alive when he waited 4 u down that aisle! i luv ur cake :lovestruc & SHOES!! yall look so happy :cutie:

Lol! That made me laugh, he probably wanted to eat me because there was no chance of him getting near the cake. Them shoes are great but definately not that comfortable ;) xx

Well... this was going to be another update but I just wiped the whole lot by accident. Oops! So instead I'm gonna chuck some more pictures up instead because it's like 12.30am and I can't be bothered to type the whole thing again. :rotfl: Apologies for the many pics...

There you are, a day in pics lol. I'm off to bed... I will probably re-write the Park Fare bit later because I'm on a well earned day off from work. Byee xx

Photos are beautiful!

You really look amazing! I love the photo where your looking down at your flowers! :) Pretty!

...or the Bride who upstaged Cindy.

We left Commanders Terrace and headed towards the lift to take us downstairs. We could see down below and we soon spied other Brides wandering around having photos taken. It's pretty weird seeing all these Brides hanging around - other guests must have thought so too judging by the looks on their faces.

Anyhoo... we toddled off towards Park Fare where the were a rather large queue. It was time for us to check in so MIL spoke to a CM to let them know we were here. We were all called forward past the queue of people, who all pointed, stared and congratulated us.

We were seated and everyone left me to get food. James had to fetch my food because a) I was too big to get past tables and b) my shoes were off again! The food was good, however I never really ate too much because I'd eaten two pieces of cake. Whilst we were eating a CM brought the bottom layer of our cake to our table. On the tables around us children kept telling their mums about the princess who was sat near them.

Our server brought me over a cocktail... probably a glowtini. Man I love them flashing ice cubes! :goodvibes As we were eating there was a call to announce the arrive of the Prince. Eek! I was rather excited to say the least. A few minutes later and he had arrived over at our table. I had my photo taken with him and to be honest, he was a little weird.

DSCF0354-2.jpg

No one else really wanted their photo with him. Just after he left us Cindy came out to a round of applause. (insert over excitable smiley here). When she came over to us she chatted to us about our wedding and wished us a happily ever after.

MIL made James have his picture taken with her... but then I don't think Cindy was going to go without having a photo with him. Then It was my turn for the pic with Cindy.

DSCF0355-1.jpg

DSCF0356-1.jpg

We carried on stuffing our faces when Drizella came out. If I'm being honest I wasn't bothered by Cindy and the Prince, I was more interested in the Tremaines.

She came over and instantly made a fuss of me and my, firing off all sorts of questions. She spent that much time with our table that Anastasia was already out. Anastasia never made it to her first table, Drizella had already called her over.

Anastasia is HILARIOUS. Love her! She saw my dress, squealed and started stroking my dress. Then my tiara caught her eye and she said she wanted one. Both sisters then found my shoes from underneath the table and demanded that they had a pair of them too. Everyone around us stopped what they were doing to watch. The room was filled with laughter. It got even funnier when Lady Tremaine came out. Within seconds all you coiuld hear was

'MOTHER! MOTHER! come here!' Lady Tremaine came over and congratulated us. Anastasia started touching my dress again and started whining to her Mother about not having a boyfriend. Lady Tremaine told her off so she sulked for a bit. They were all at our table for ages! After a few more tantrums from Anastasia and both girls falling out over our bouquet and flower wands, it was time for pictures.

DSCF0357-1.jpg

DSCF0358-1.jpg

All three must have realised they had spent alot of time with us so they decided to leave us in peace. Before they left Drizella came upto me and told me that halfway through dinner Cindy and the Prince have a dance. She then intructed me to drag James up when the music started. I smiled at her and declined because James doesn't dance. Drizella (and MIL) pleaded so we agreed. (actually I agree, James didn't)

We finished eating and the music started. We thought they'd forgotten about our dance but we thought wrong. Drizella must have barged past alot of people to reach us, she dragged me up with little resistance and then forced poor James out of his chair.

She (and now joined by her equally mischievious sister) dragged us to where she wanted us to dance. As we started to dance Cindy and the Prince came over and looked suprised and a little put out. Cleary no one had told Cindy.

All we heard was Drizella shout over to her 'Let them dance! You always steal peoples thunder, now it's someone elses turn!' :rotfl: Cindy and the Prince joined in with the applauding crowd.

As we danced the skirt area of my dress sorta stayed put as we spun on the spot. Anastasia was on the floor crawling after the dress trying to push it out the way - failing miserably. Lady Tremaine kept shouting at her to behave herself. Anastasia started to get a little mardy and kept shouting back at Lady Tremaine - 'But Mother I'm trying to sort out her dress!' & 'It won't stay still' Eventually at her mothers insistance she got up and ran away sulking. :rotfl:

The whole room was watching and when the music stopped we felt a little weird and everyone was talking about poor Cindy! One family even filmed us... wish I could find them. We never got any photos of the dance :sad1:

After that we had finished eating, paid the bill (where we were given a signed card thingy, which was pretty cool) On our way out MIL wanted to take a photo of something. As we waited for her a mother and her young daughter were watching us. The little girl waved at me so I waved back. After a few minutes the mother came over to me and started asking me questions.

Mother: You're from the UK aren't you?
Me: Yeah
Mother: My little girl thinks your Princess Kate, could you pretend that you are?
Me: umm yeah, sure.

Weirdest request I've ever had  She congratulated us, said I looked beautiful, asked me my real name and left us too it.

The limo took us back to POP, we still had an hour left of limo time. The plan was to get changed (me and James wore the t-shirts we had printed at DTD) and then jump in the limo and go to Epcot for Illuminations.

We were all changed in no time and it was a relief to get them shoes off! I swapped my tiara for my bridal ears (I'd been dying to wear them ever since I brought them on our first full day but James had banned me from them because I wasn't married)

All 8 of us got to Epcot n good time for Illuminations. We staked out our spot but then suddenly I needed to go toilet. I found the nearest toilets which were small and the queue was massive! Probably the longest queue I'd been in all week ;) I was away from the group that long that they started to worry. I know I have bad coordination but I was a little offended lol.

I made it back for Illuminations, that was the main thing. Everyone loved the fireworks my parents were amazed by them (to the point where my Mum wondered about how much the fireworks would cost )

Me & SIL, we were tired lol

Up Next: First day as Mr & Mrs in DHS.

So, we woke up that morning as newlyweds. Well that is when we woke up, after the long day we had yesterday we decided to have a lie in. :cloud9:

DSCF0438.jpg

We had decided to visit HS because we'd done the other parks. This was also our first day on our own! We got to HS at about 11am and headed straight for Toy Story FPs.

DSCF0441.jpg

We were in line to get the FPs when a lovely CM called Margie saw our Just Married badges (I also had my bridal ears on and a white dress, people actually thought we were about to get married :rotfl:) and after we got our FPs she gave us 2 more to use right then. Thank you Margie! :goodvibes

So like good little Disney people we went and rode TSM. James won... I let him. After TSM we did the Great Movie Ride, where I got 'Follow the yellow brick road' in my head. Urgh.

By this point we were hungry, so we headed off to ABC Commisary. I had the chicken salad and James had the angus beefburger. Nom nom nom.

On our way out of ABC a nice couple on their way out of HS handed us another set of TSM fast passes and congratulated us.

Next on the agenda was Star Tours, we both are fans of Star Wars so this was obviously a must. I like the revamp, it's really good. Following our brush with Darth Vader, we went and did Muppets 3D. I love the muppets, Statler and Waldorf are brilliant. I never get tired of the pre-show either.

James in his groom t-shirt and me with my ears (not a fan of this pic, my nose looks big. Beaute Speciale... where are you?)

DSCF0460.jpg

And the award for worlds craziest wife goes to..
DSCF0476.jpg

I believe we did the Backlot Tour... but to be honest I don't remember that bit all too well. Maybe I blanked it out? :confused3 best part of this was coming out of it and meeting Mike and Sully. :lovestruc:lovestruc

DSCF0479.jpg

The wait was very minimal for these two and we got a fair few piccies with him. Following the m&g we headed over to TSM to use some of our FPs.

Somewhere that day a nice CM took our pic for us
DSCF0490.jpg

We followed that with a ride of RnRc, for some reason despite the fact I like this ride I felt anxious. I feel anxious before alot of rides though so it didn't put me off completely. (I'm a big big ride wimp, so In Disneyland Paris we rode this 4 times in a row to try and cure me lol)

If I was anxious before RnRc then I was even worse during the wait for ToT. I've only ever done ToT once before at DLP and that involved a major freak out, a few tears and alot of shouting. This time I enjoyed it that much that it's now one of my fave rides.

Time was drawing on so we fit in Star Tours again :lovestruc Despite having a lie in that morning, my legs were starting to hurt. They hadn't quite recovered from the wedding and them fluffin shoes. I'm normally a flat shoe kinda girl so my feet really aren't used to that kind of abuse. It got to a point where I had to sit down, one of my knees started to hurt too so after a little recovery we decided to head back to Pop for a bit.

All we did back at Pop was chill out in our room, nothing exciting. Once we had rested we decided to trek over to Epcot - this seemed to be a continuing theme over the honeymoon period.

It was about 7pm when we arrived. We rode Journey into the Imagination. Figments cute. We followed this up with Test Track and for a real treat (: Rolleyes:) Captain EO.

Can't you tell he loves having his photo taken. He is having a good time really!!
DSCF0509.jpg

I'm so sorry to any EO fans but I just don't get it! We pretty much walked in, it started and people applauded. We watched it and I pretty much was weirded out by it. So Michael Jackson saved the world with music and crotch thrusting? I see. All way though me and James looked at each other and resisted the urge to laugh. What an experience.

and that was our first day as a married couple.

DSCF0500.jpg

Next up: Typhoon Lagoon and..... Epcot!

Love everything, it sounds like you had so much fun! The part about Cinderella and Prince Charming made me laugh, and I just love Lady Tremaine and the stepsisters! I'm always more excited to meet them than Cinderella.

Sounds like a fabulous first day as a married couple! I also think you look absolutely adorable in your ears and white dress. Your nose doesn't look big at all, so shhhhhhhhhh.

Hey guys, I was supposed to be writing another day of my TR but to be honest I haven't the energy. I'm not feeling particulary well and I've had a long boring day in work.

The reason I'm posting is that I recieved something in the post today that made this long day a little better...

I recieved the Cinderella Designer Doll that I ordered :lovestruc She now takes pride of place alongside my Tiana and Rapunzel dolls.

I'm also almost on the verge of having Snow White.

Just thought I'd share my excitement with you... I know you guys will understand

I promise I'll catch up with everyone elses PJ/TRs this coming weekend xx

Hope you feel better tomorrow and not just for selfish reasons so I can read the next part of your TR ;)

Loved that you went to 1900 park fare. You just have to love Lady Tremaine, Anastasia and Drizella. They are just the best.

Loved your first day as a newlywed dress.

Ruth,

OMG! Your stories from 1900PF are fabulous! I think that The Tremaine's are the best character interaction for adults at WDW! We always have such a good time with them. Looks like you did too. :cool1:

I can't believe you had all the energy to do all that you did after your wedding day. We plan on flopping at the pool. :lmao:

Sorry you aren't feeling well today . Hope you feel better soon.

Our energy had gone by time we went to Epcot. We didn't have a full on reception as such which is why I think we got throught the evening. Flopping by the pool sounds like a lovely and relaxing idea :goodvibes xx

I adored your 1900PF story. Fabulous!

Thank you :goodvibes xx

Forgive me for lack of pictures... there will be loads on the next update.

We woke up about 8.30ish but lounged around in bed till about 9am. We were headed to Typhoon Lagoon today so we had a lie in. I love having a lie in, I'm more of a night person than a morning person.

We headed for the buses and reached TL at 10.15am. We headed straight for the Lazy River. I love the Lazy River, it's nice to float and relax - until someone decides they're going to shove you under very cold waterfalls.:laughing:

DSCF0523.jpg

After an hour of floating James wanted to go to the wave pool. I'm not overly keen on the wavepool, I don't like the floor. I'm very clumsy anyway so giving me waves and a rough floor to play with is not a good idea.

After I'd more or less been thrown around we decided to hit some slides. I'm quite a nervous rider on land rides so I'm not any better on waterslides.

We did the three slides on the Crush 'n' Gusher. Boy am I glad they they put bottoms on the rafts. In Feb 2010 we rode this together for the first time, obviously because I am smaller I had to go upfront. I can't remember which of the slides it was but I do remember looking down thinking 'OMG what a drop' :scared1: I was terrified that I was going to break my ankles that as we went down the drop I lifted my feet up. This meant I scraped my backside.

It didn't hurt or anything, so I laughed it off. It wasn't until we rode it again and came off that I realised I'd scraped a hole in my bikini bottoms. I wondered where the draft was coming from :rotfl::headache:

Fast forward back to 2011: I am pleased to report that my swimwear stayed intact.

We then headed for Storm Slides and followed that up with Humunga Kowabunga. I swear thats steeper then they look, or maybe I'm a wimp. Me and James did this at the same time and when we were both sat on the edge waiting to go down we both saw the drop. There was a big queue behind us so we just chucked ourselves down, all you could hear was me squealing. Fun in a scary drowny kinda way.

By this time it was 1pm so we stopped for lunch, I can't remember what it was that I had but it was probably chicken nuggets :lovestruc We finished off our time at TL by one more lap around the lazy river.

We went home back to POP and chilled out as we tried to figure out what to do that evening. We decided on Epcot. We didn't really do alot when we got to Epcot. The main plan was to try and find a Pascal, afterall we only had 1 full day before the Mk photo shoot.

We went to Germany because we'd heard talk of him being in one of the shops. We went into a shop (which I cannot for the life of me remember what it was called :headache:) and I felt a little frustrated because I could find Pascal. My frustration was with myself and my curse. In 2010 I saw a Sebastian plush in a Disney Store back in the UK and I was going to buy him but James stopped me. I'd be able to buy one in WDW it would be more special.

We got to WDW for my first ever visit and could we find Sebastian? Nope. He was no where. It turned out that at the time Sebastian was a UK exclusive, he even had that on his bottom I just haden't noticed. during that visit I saw a Pegasus plush but didn't buy it, I planned to buy it in October but he's discontinued apparently. So not being able to find Pascal came as no suprise to us.

look who we found enjoying F&W
DSCF0548.jpg

We left Epcot early so we could have an earlyish night, we had to be up very early (by my standards anyway) because we had early entry into the Wizarding World of Harry Potter *squeal*

Next up: Harry Potter/US/IOA

Oh yeah before I go I'm going to post a pic of my Designer Dolls. I wish I had Ariel though...
DSCF1320.jpg

I feel you on the wavepool! I am a little water baby but I cannot stand the wavepool's floor- it hurts!

Oh my goodness! I can't believe there was a hole in your bikini bottom!! Glad everything stayed intact this year!

Aww, Remy! Love him!

Woohoo for the Designer Dolls- they were so gorgeous!!

Ruth,

Seems like you had a great day at Typhoon Lagoon. You are much braver than I am, I don't do water slides. Paul, however, loves them! When we went to TL in 2010, we rented the private shack and I spent the day there. :)

Ok so here we are on day 7, you will notice the title for this entry is a very simple 'Day 7 - US/IOA' when really it should be 'Oh my gosh, Ruth is finally going to the Wizarding World of Harry freaking Potter. Eeeeeeep!

I'm a big big Potter fan and as soon as I heard they were building WWoHP I knew I needed to go. So I was very excited to be going and even more excited because we had early entry. :yay:

So that morning all 8 of us were up very very early ready to get a taxi to IOA. We entered IOA at7am and recieved a Gryffindor badge each. I was really pleased with my badge much to the amusement of others. I like to think that if Hogwarts was real and should I have gone school there that I would be in Gryffindor (though the likelyhood is that I would actually be in Hufflepuff )

We headed off for our complimentary breakfast at the Three Broomsticks. Breakfast was okay, nothing special. James wasn't overly impressed because he doesn't 'do' toast or porridge. However I was fine because I love a good round of toast. After breakfast we took time to chill and take photos.

DSCF0579.jpg

DSCF0588.jpg

After we were finished taking in our surroundings we headed over to Forbidden Journey. I was dying to go on this even though the way it was described to me made me very nervous. We rode it and it was fun, I did like it - well most of it. I jumped when a dementor popped up and I wasn't overly keen on going on my back, but it wouldn't put me off doing it again.

Next up was time for me to get myself a wand! It was on my to do list so I made us all queue up outside Ollivanders for the show. I will admit it, I was a little sad not to be picked

DSCF0591.jpg

Both me and Mum came out with wands. Mum brought the Harry Potter wand and I brought the Holly wand. I didn't want somebody elses wand. I also decided it had a phoenix feather in the middle.... yes I took it all waaay to seriously.

After we had finished buying wands and what not we decided to head to US because there were more rides over there that we would all go on (and also Jaws :lovestruc was there)

Of course along the way we took a few more pictures.

Me & the train. Dad was well impressed that it actually was a train :lmao:
DSCF0575.jpg

Aiming the wand at an all to willing MIL
DSCF0599.jpg

If this wand was real my Dad would be very dangerous LOL.
DSCF0600.jpg

We made it over to US and I wanted to go straight to Jaws but I was stopped in my tracks. Boo! We were going to ride things in the order we went past them (I just wanted to go see my lil Sharky friend).

We were about to go on Shrek 4D but we spotted the Simpsons lurking around. My Dads a big fan of Homer and say's he's go the right idea. So we stopped from some pics with our fave family.

Ettys & Simpsons (I'll let you guess which ones are which ;)) Oh and excuse that man on the left, he just would not get out my way no matter where I stood!
DSCF0613.jpg

DSCF0614.jpg

The Simpsons were fun to meet, Bart and Lisa kept fighting and Homer... well he was just being Homer. :lovestruc

We finally got on Shrek 4D, followed by Twister.

We were getting closer to my Jaws (I am obsessed with the film/ride.... absoultely gutted that it's gone. I may have shed a little tear... :sad1::sad1:)

But before that glorious moment when me and the shark were reunited we came past the Mummy. I actually love this ride, it's ace. My Dad, Mum and FIL stayed behind. we gave our belonging to them (along with my hat that had my Just Married badge on). When we come off the ride we found my Mum and FIL sat on the floor next to each other. It looked like they were just married and they had no idea.

We were going to do Jaws next (eek!) but then it started to hammer it down with rain. So instead of that we did Disaster. James was disapointed with it because he said it wasn't all that much different than before the refurb, only the pre-show had changed. I wasn't all that fussed to be honest.

DSCF0617.jpg

By time we got off the rain had died down so we headed for Jaws. I am pretty sure someone must not like me up there because when we got there a ride attendant told us Jaws was down. Pfft!

We decided at this point to go eat. I am bad at taking photos of food and I can't really remember what I ate, probably chicken.

Everywhere I look there was Jaws.
DSCF0620.jpg

We finished eating and Jaws was still down. We decided to temporarily skip past Men In Black to go on the Simpsons. Not matter how many times I go on this I still think it's ace. All 8 of us rode it and all 8 really liked it. I think my Dad enjoyed queuing up for it almost as much as the ride.

The rain had started again when we got off the Simpsons so we ran for MIB. I like this ride, it makes me laugh because I'm so bad at aiming. Also it was another ride all 8 of us would enioy.

We decided to try Jaws again and to my excitement it was up and going again!

DSCF0622.jpg

I loved the queue for this, I loved watching the little tellys. I also loved the little nods to the film.

Trying to pretend I'm not all that excited.
DSCF0625.jpg

poor Jaws
DSCF0632.jpg

Right erm yeah! We came off the ride and I wish I'd have known then that it was going to close down.

Next up was E.T. I actually don't like the film and I find the ride hilariously weird. The best bit is where you come off the ride and E.T says your name. He can't say 'Verity' so poor SIL got some bizarre version of her name, very funny.

As we walked these guys were leaving.

We were all getting hungry and we had decided earlier in the day that we would eat at the Hard Rock Cafe. Before we reached HRC me, James, my Sister & SIL rode the Mummy again whilst my Dad, Mum, FIL & MIL headed off for the Make up show (which they some how managed to miss )

We all met up and went into HRC. It was one of the best meals of our trip, I had the salmon and it was amazing.

By this time it was about 9pm and everyone was getting tired so we decided to head back to POP. As we headed back in the taxi it started to rain again but this time it didn't stop.

We went to bed that night fearing the worst for our MK shoot. Our alarms were set for 4.30am and our fingers were crossed for good news in the morning.

Next up: Photo shoot is in danger.

ETA: I have just realised that I used the word Jaws 10 times (well 11 now). I have issues.

Glad I'm not alone with the wave pool.

Remy is cute, there should be more of him around the parks. For MNSSHP this year James is going as Linguini with Remy sticking out of his hat.

I'm hooked on the Designer Dolls, I have Snow White and Pocahontas on their way. xx

Ruth,

Seems like you had a great day at Typhoon Lagoon. You are much braver than I am, I don't do water slides. Paul, however, loves them! When we went to TL in 2010, we rented the private shack and I spent the day there. :)

How much was it to rent a private shack? Sounds like a fab idea if your not into water slides. I have to admit I suprised myself, I think James has made me braver xx
