Has anyone ever had any personal experiences with Rush Neurobehavioral Center? Have you or a family member ever been there? Was your experience a positive one?

Anyone? DS has an appointment there this summer for a neuropsychological evaluation to test for NLD (nonverbal learning disability) and I was just looking for anyone with first (or second) hand experience with Rush.

I know several people who have taken children there and it is amazing. The patience and knowledge of the staff is great.

Very good reputation for Dr. Lipton.

They have a ton of resources and support and work endlessly to help the kids.

My friends have become avid supporters financially for Rush due to the care they got.

Thank you! There are very few resources in our area. DS was diagnosed with NLD when he was 5 and now that he's 10 needs another neuropsych eval to confirm diagnosis and assess his current strengths and weaknesses. I had heard of Rush via different NLD websites, but there were no first hand accounts. It's a very expensive eval and I'm sitting here second guessing myself. I've been fighting with the insurance company and I'm sure the school won't be a walk in the park either (we plan on paying out of pocket if we can't get either to help). I just needed some reassurance.
