I am heading down real soon, and staying at Pop Century. I have seen the "recommended" running route for the resort, basically running around the resort. It seems okay, but may get get old after awhile. It is a fairly short route. I have run it when I have stayed there before.

So, I was wondering what other people have done when they stayed there. Where do you like to run around there. If it makes a difference, I will be running pretty early in the morning.

Thanks.

run along the outside perimeter facing the lake, double back zig-zagging through the middle of the property. pop is not very runner friendly, sadly. :\

I like to head over to the Boardwalk area early in the morning and run around the lake and down the canal towards DHS and back. I usually grab something at the Boardwalk Bakery or the resort and eat a little breakfast out by the lake. I used to start there every trip when I was an AP holder and I would drive over from Tampa.

The map at disneyrunning.com is the one I was referring to. That route is nice, but just too short. Usually I will run it several times to get the miles in. I was just wanting some other options.

I love running the Boardwalk/Beach Club/Yacht Club area. Including following the route down to Hollywood Studios. Can also run aroud the Swan and Dolphin. Alot of options in that area. I would run down that way from Pop Century, but I am not sure if I can do that without getting run over. Maybe I can drive over there, get my run in, and drive back. It is very close by.

Thanks.

I would recommend not wearing any headphones so you can hear the traffic more easily but I think running that area would be fine.

If you are looking for a route that isn't on any of the maps I would recommend using the bird's eye view on Bing maps to scope out a route.

Good idea. Thanks.

I will also try and pay attention to the roads as I am driving in to see what looks "safe".
