I live in the Pacific NW and it tends to rain a little - OK a lot!
I've been looking for a good running rain jacket but have not had any luck.
Does anyone have advice on what's a good brand and where to buy it (without spending a fortune)?
Water proof would be good.:yay:
Thanks!

I have a Brooks shell. It is very thin, light, waterproof, and has good ventilation. It is pretty much this jacket.

I got mine at the local Fleet Feet but any local running specialty store should carry a variety for you to try if you want to get one at a store instead of online.

Pffft... real Pacific Northwest runners just get wet. :lmao: :rotfl2:

I can second the advice on the Brooks jacket. I have a couple friends who swears by theirs.

DH has a Brooks jacket too, and it's excellent. It's lightweight, breathable, and waterproof. Doesn't fit your criteria of inexpensive, though. I believe its quality is worth the price, though.

I actually run in a cycling vest when raining. On the Gulf Coast - when it used to rain - the rain is usually warm so it is a toss up as to what to do - shell or no shell. I decided that the cycling vest would keep the core warmer and it works great. It is ventilated so you do not over heat. The issue I have with sleeves is that mine always filled with sweat and I would need to empty every mile or so.
