Hi all:goodvibes

I have a friend in Cali who will be attending a conference at the World in June. He is training for a half (the DL actually) and needs to keep up his runs. He has only been to WDW once, so is not familiar with the area. He wants to know about running routes in and around the Coronado Springs resort. I have stayed there, and it is a pretty big resort. I thought he could just run the loop around the resort, but he questioned about running out of the resort. My thought was that there was WAY too much traffic especially buses to run safely.

Anyone know how far running the "loop" in CSR is? Or can you recommend a route? He probably needs at least a 2-3 mile route which could be repeated.

Thanks for any help.

I have maps of running routes around all the resorts on my website. The CSR map is at http://disneyrunning.com/joggingtrailcs.html the big loop is 1 mile.

You can run on sidwalks from CSR down to ASR to pick up the extra mileage. You can't go from CSR to BW as on roads and little(or no shoulders and overpassess). We have walked from BWV to ASR. Very dangerous until CSR and nice afterwards.

Robert's Website has a bunch of running maps and I highly recommend it.

My favorite run on property is the boardwalk area. It is a bit inconvenient if you are staying at CSR but if your friend has a car I would say go to the Boardwalk resort. If you tell them you are there to go to the boardwalk you can park for free. I love the run around Epcot resort drive and the run along the river. I would get there early, before Epcot opens to take advantage of the cooler weather and lower crowds. This site has the map and with a couple of loops and using all the trails you can get in a pretty long run easily enough.
