Has anyone jogged or ran around Pop Century? Did you feel comfortable running alone, or in the AM?

Thanks

Yes and yes! Heck I have even stayed at CBR and run over to Pop, but I wouldn't recommend unless you go really early in the morning because you have to cross a service road.

Now with AoA open you will have plenty of places to run and feel completely safe.

Enjoy!

I haven't run around Pop but did walk around the entire thing when we stayed a few years ago. It would make a great running course and it is very safe from a "traffic" standpoint (ie you don't leave the resort so don't have to deal with roads). Now you can even run over the bridge to AoA and make it a longer run.
My only comment about early morning is that you may be really alone on those walkways. You would have the option of staying on walkways on the insides (ie courtyard areas) of buildings, but the perimeter walkways tend to not have many people on them. They are however very open (I don't recall any "dark alleyway" areas). Overall I've never felt unsafe in any part of Disney, no matter how few people I've encountered!

I ran there last summer. I love to run on vacation! Even on a Disney vaca something bout a nice early morning run at Disney....the smells, sounds, feel, etc!! I like to run early, so as PP said I was able to run on any path inside or outside the bldgs without fear of being a nuisance to the other guests. I'm a fairly strong guy who can handle himself, so I'm not usually worried bout my safety no matter where I run (of course I do make smart choices). But, I just took off and never felt like I had to stay away from any certain area for safety issues. Traffic was never an issue for me cuz I stayed within POP property. The real test is this.... After my runs and seeing what saw, I would not worry bout my wife running on her own! I would however say it had to be light or starting to get light bfor I'd want her on her own out n about. Hope this helps and happy running!

I just got back from Pop Century (2 hours ago!) and there were lots of joggers out on the path. Lots. Morning and evening. I wouldn't worry about it at all.

The path around Hourglass Lake is really a nice route for running. I would usually run in the early morning and there are typically a few others out running at that time (6:00 in the morning). The only kind of annoying thing is that the DSAs are along that path, too. So, I'd sometimes sort of hold my breath while running past one that was getting a lot of use. (I do not fault the smokers at all -- they were where they were supposed to be.)
