Run of the House Room ??

Has anyone ever booked a "run of the house" room ??
I'm researching a trip for September and I usually always book direct but am looking at both Get Away Today and Undercover Tourist.
Now UT has a "run of the house" room at the Hilton for 1/2 the price of a normal room.
What is this?
It is my understanding that they just pick the room for you instead of you choosing what room you get? Is this correct??
I've never booked one of these types of rooms before so have no idea.
It will be myself and two kids, so we don't need fancy.

It means the hotel will pick what type of room you get. The room will have enough sleeping spots for the number of guests, but you don’t get a say in what room/bed configuration you get. I’ve done this on Hotwire and it was fine!

Perfect, that is what I expected. For 50% off rack rates I don't care what we get! LOL.
Def something I'll look into while deciding.

The one I saw was on booking.com
