Run of bad luck

We will be at the Kingdom in 5 days and this past week and a half has been one thing after another. A week and half ago my DS8 gets sick, then DH, then DS22mts old, and last ends with me. Then if it wasn't bad enough that we are all sick, last Wed my DS22mts old burned his arm. He got 2nd degree burns from the storage drawer under the stove, you just can't turn your back for a second. I never knew that they got that hot there. He is healing nicely. To top it off had to take son to the Doctors again today, he was tugging at his ears and crying lastnight, he has an ear infection. Please pass us some pixie dust so nothing else goes wrong and we can get there this weekend in one piece.

I feel your pain!! My family is also leaving in 5 days and several of us are sick. I'm hoping by Saturday everyone will be well again, but I can't remember the last vacation we have been on where someone didn't get sick.

I feel your pain too! We leave next week, my DD is home sick with bad cough, fever and burping (weird I know). My husband is also home with a swollen knee. MY other DD (13 months) was just diagnosed with food allergies all of which haven't been identified. Keeping everyone in separate rooms so nothing spreads. I'm exhausted! Our family room TV broke and did I mention we are driving down which the husband with the swollen knee comes into play there. Hope everyone gets well in your house!

I feel so bad for all of you! I'm living on pins & needles hoping we make it through this week healthy because we leave Sunday. All I can say is hopefully you are getting all of your sicknesses & bad luck out of the way now & think of how great Disney is going to be - esp. after how awful this week is going! Wow, I thought I was the only one with the bad luck. I hope all is well with your families before it is time to leave. We are leaving at 11pm on Friday to drive through the night so the little ones can sleep. DS 22mts is only going to have a short two days with us then going back with my Inlaws that well be at Disney before us and leaving on the 21st.

Aww, hope you all feel better soon! At least you are getting the ear infection taken care of NOW instead of having it happen after you get there. He should be in good shape by next week. Have a wonderful trip!

It's all in how you look at it! You were lucky that you got sick before you went so you could deal with your own doctors! Now that you have your share of the bad stuff out of the way, Disney should be a breeze!

My daughter had the flu last weekend and I was happy that she got it and got it overwith!

I can completely sympothize with you. We had to cancel our trip last minute last because my DD had a double ear infection and pneumonia. (we did reschdule and went later in hte year). It's the worse feeling.

We leave in 6 days and my youngest DS has had a cough for 2 weeks. It got really bad yesterdaay so I take him this morning to the doctor and he has walking pneumonia!!! Thank goodness I took him today and didn't wait on that one. I'm sure his teacher will love it too...out today and then won't be in all next week. This medicine better kick in quick!!!

Its ironic.....I just said this to my hubby tonight..."Why is it before every vacation we all get sick." 1st DS8 - Sinus inf, now me & DH - URI or sinuses, DS5 is sounding sniffly so I am loading him with Vitamins.

Last year 1st day on DCL DS8 gets pink eye, then sinus infection, next fell down mickey slide steps (go to love crocs with wet steps!) and thought he broke his foot but luckily just a bad sprain and bruise. By the end of the cruise both DS's were sooo sick with high fevers and as soon as we were home went to ER and both had double ear infections.

We leave in 7 days.....and as a previous diser posted....better to be sick before then while there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hope everyone feels well soon. Take those Vitamins especially some extra Vit C!!!

We have all been sick too. 4 out of the 6 of have been to the Dr. in the last 2 weeks. AAARRGGHH! At this point only I am still kinda sick. Hopefully I am fully well by Friday morning when we leave.
