Ok...now, if KKKarl Rove gets arrested this afternoon, I'll know this is some kind of dream!
The funniest part is, if he'd done this a week ago, Republicans probably would have won the election last night.
I don't really think it would have made any difference. The moderates in this country (who swing elections either way) are tired of the war in Iraq. In all honesty, just about everyone is tired of Iraq and would like to be done with it, imo.
Changing Rumsfeld last week would have done nothing but give the Democrats running for office, more reason to say, see even Bush knows it's not working.
The change should have happened long ago, (early summer, at least) for his departure to have had any effect. Bailing out and changing key players at the last minute isn't exactly a sign of confidence in your staff or a sign that your plan is working. They would have lost either way and would have made no difference, imo.
That's just my two cents on the matter.
