I got a "breaking news" email from CNN saying that Donald Rumsfeld has resigned. Does anyone know anything about this???

***corrected below in another post***

I received an e-mail that said one the guys right under him resigned. Then, I heard on tghe news he resigned because of possible conflict of interest with a possible company that won some kind of bid. They said it was NOT conflict of interest, but he didn;t want there to be any doubt. All money he received from the past from this place (or something) he will donate to soldiers families who are injured. I will see if I can find a link.

This is what my e-mail said:

-- Richard Perle, head of board that advises U.S. Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld, resigns.

I sure hope not. I haven't heard anything about it.

I re-read my email alert, and you were right, it was Perle, who works under Rumsfeld who resigned, not Rumsfeld himself. :o

I REALLY like Rumsfeld because he holds no punches and tells it like it is...but, I am sure it is not easy working for someone like that.

Boy, this thread really caught my attention -- you scared me!:D

I really like Donald Rumsfeld; I've always respected people who "tell it like it is" and say what they really think. Usually, you know where you stand with people like that -- they don't pretend to put "icing" on the cake. Thank goodness it wasn't he who resigned!
