Rumors of Light (ROL discussion thread)

I saw on another thread that the hours at MK and AK were extended today, as of today due to crowds. I had this happen at MK myself and our server at Tony's told us that when people got to work they were informed but how do guests normally find our? The app? There was none when it happened to us-it was beyond packed as it was one of the few non-party nights that week.

I am just curious where or when you would see it ? I think this will be the case ffor ROL for the first few months at least. I hope to have a FP or dinner with Fp so it won't be an issue but I dont know how much time I would really want to spend there if it will be that crowded at night.

I had to spend all of today waiting on an aunt to come back from a trip to pick up her dogs. She had no clue when she might possibly be back so I want to thank each and every one of you for your posts as I used today catching up from page I can't remember. I've laughed, I've cried, I've spent money?!, this thread means so much.

Roll Call 5/3-5/8 AK day WAS on Thursday. But Imma be fluid like the river and go whenever we can see that light; whilst wearing my button. Now back to waiting... :bored:

Perhaps I shouldn't have mentioned it on such a highly viewed thread... :rolleyes1 Sure hope no one official is really monitoring us.:drive:

Ugh. Driving smiley was an accident, and for some reason my phone won't let me delete them once they're clicked.

Edit: it = reservation finder! Apparently my phone also didn't want to insert my quote!

That happened to us at MK one night. We decided to skip wishes and go on some rides. Everyone cleared out after the fireworks but we noticed them roping an area off. We asked a CM who told the park hours had been extended due to crowd levels that day. There was hardly anyone there and we watched the entire parade with an excellent view.

Holy cow! We should be running into you everywhere. Our plans are as follows:

6/4 MK evening
6/5 MK
6/6 AK
6/7 pool day/HS evening
6/8 Epcot
6/9 pool day/MK evening
6/10 HS
6/11 MK
Heck yeah, we will! On my report, I've posted my first 4 days of touring plans and am about to post my last 3 days. If you get a chance, see if any attractions/areas match up. I know we will run into each other at Chef Mickey's but it would be cool if we cross paths other times, as well!

We have had the hours extended day off during one of our trips. They put up signs at the entrance. As for those already in the park, word of mouth for the most part. There isn't a formal announcement

I totally agree. To each their own. I'm more of the planner type. I can be flexible if I have to be, but I think going in with a good plan really helps.

I plan loosely. That is to say, I give my self time to get things done. I don't book things tight because things can go wrong. By keeping things loose in the schedule, I can make the ADRs and I take time to take things in. I like just wandering around the parks at times. That's my filler time.

I'll check it out and let you know. I plan on finalizing everything tomorrow after we book all our FP+.

Over dozens of trips and hundreds of ADRs I have never, EVER had to pay a no show fee. You can have all the hard to get ADRs you want and still remain flexible. When you become to rigid, you set yourself up for failure. That goes for just about anything in life.

Look at the top of any social or professional organization around.. they are filled with people who had a goal and a plan to achieve that goal. BUT, the ones who truly succeed are the ones who still find success when they have to trash that plan on short notice.

Well people at the top also don't judge or make assumptions either. But thanks for the life lessons. If you'd like to give a lesson explain how you don't pay a no show fee? We usually make reservations...180 days out...because we want to actually eat there and enjoy our time. I was merely saying i was trying to finalize my park days with my ADR's, not that I couldn't be flexible. Look at my other posts throughout this thread...each time I said we were going to enjoy ourselves no matter what. However, like everyone else, we are curious and considering our trip is 11 days away now I'm not sure who wouldn't be. This thread has been amazing but someone always has to jump all over someone when they don't agree...so sad:(
