3/15, huh?
Beware the Ides of March.
Yep, it will definitely be a stab in the heart if THIS one doesn't hold up!
Et tu, Mic - key?

Who would know? But he might have gotten it off The Dibb where I think we did!!![]()
Unfortunately, I've learned in the last few years that this is "typical Disney." While I love all the knowledge and insight I've gained in recent years through following sites like this one, sometimes I miss the old days when I didn't even know what I was missing! Lol!!I'm glad we had to push our vacation back two weeks lol, at least it gives me a little bit more wiggle room in planning. Between ROL, Frozen, and the new Star Wars Fireworks, plus Olaf M&G, and other new items, this is insane. We've never planned a trip around new events, or I guess because this is only our second trip with kids that we never cared that much before to try and plan it. I feel like they must be having some technical difficulties or something to just keep everyone in the dark and presumably keep pushing the date back. Then again, it may just be typical Disney.

This was his post about it:
"Disney announced that the show will officially debut on Earth Day, April 22nd. There are private screening events on April 16th and 17th and one would assume that previews for Park guests would precede that as Disney tries to work out the kinks before those that are paid to give glowing reviews arrive. The show should be fully staffed by the end of the month. I would not expect to see the show on any given day between March 27th and April 15th, but it is certainly a distinct possibility. We should know more about the schedule and procedure in a couple of weeks."-easywdw
He knows that I will give him the rundown every night whether he wants it or not - or at least what I feel he needs to know, lol - I say, "Today in Disney news..."
I'm somewhat lucky my dh is working crazy hours right now so we only have time to say hi and bye most days. At least I can't drive him crazy.Same here! No one wants to hear my daily "This is what I learned about Disney today"![]()
No clue. It seems like inviting all of the press, etc. to preview events during an inaugural runDisney race weekend would be a bit overwhelming. But what do I know? I did hear that CM passes are blacked out beginning the 18th, so maybe press previews begin that day and event tickets for purchase will indeed be for the 15-17th. We can only wait and see.On a slightly off-top note, I read that those invitations to the Press/VIP's for the ROL preview show also indicated that they would be experiencing the new Frozen ride at Epcot as well. Anyone else hear this?
I'm really hoping the preview dates are 4/15, 4/16 AND 4/17 (not just the first two). 4/17 is WAY better for us... after all the races that weekend...
At this point is there even any further confirmation there will even be preview packages? Aside from that Dibb post
On the HUB it shows Premium Preview package (no date) and Preview packages for the 16th and 17th. No additional info other than to say that the Premium package will begin checking in at 7pm and Preview Packages at 5:30pm where they will be given an assigned show time...But he might have gotten it off The Dibb where I think we did!!
That said, preview events seem to make sense... why not collect a bunch of $$ while testing out your show for opening on 4/22?? Disney no-brainer!!![]()
This thread is my new mobile homepage.I kept waking up through the night/morning and checking this thread. And I just had the most awful dream that it went up and I totally missed it!
Phew.
Yup! Is it sad that I don't think Disney would even think about all of their half runners and therefore include a 4/17 preview out of consideration for them?? I'm in the camp of "Disney is a business -- running it like one makes sense", but it wouldn't HURT them to consider something like this... a MAJOR event that they are putting on and how this could dovetail?? Anyway... I'm still waiting and will book what I can get (sucker!)...Same with us - there will be a lot of juggling if it's just 4/15 and 4/16 (and I'm lucky enough to score one!). Cue the circus music!

That's all
I did speak to someone at AK that thinks the delay in announcement of these it's because they want to make sure the area will be finished by that time
Starting this coming week guests might be able to see some elements of the show on the lagoon during normal operation hours as they will be testing some things.
I'm shocked. I couldn't be more shocked if you told me water has been found to be wet.I just read yesterday that construction is behind at the Frozen ride and they may be pushing that back until the fall.... It was on David's DVC Rentals facebook page....
Figures lol. Oh well, we'll have to catch it next year.I just read yesterday that construction is behind at the Frozen ride and they may be pushing that back until the fall.... It was on David's DVC Rentals facebook page....
