Rumors of Light (ROL discussion thread)

I'm also typically up past 1am if I don't have to be up early the next morning (and sometimes if I do). I don't have work tomorrow (woohoo!), so I plan to give it until 2am or so, which would be 3 Disney time. I will definitely post here if it shows up. With my luck, though, it'll be a 6am release, which I will have no shot at being up for and I'll have to see if anything is left by the time I'm awake.
If I knew you well I would give you my password to book mine if they come out tonight :rotfl:I dont think I can make it til midnight!

Ha! I could say the same thing about the 6am possibility. Of course, then you'd be able to see my dining reservations and find out how crazy I truly am. :p

Is the hope for the dining packages at midnight, or a few hours after, and FP+ at 6 am? We are headed to wDW May 8, so not looking for previews.

Not the same, bit I have hoarded plane reservations on SW, when I am booking with points. I cancel when I am sure what we are doing. Currently, I have DH double booked in October, not sure if he will be home from his job assignment or not (have him flying from both newark and Wash DC to MCO). Also have done this on Amtrak, when plans are fluid.

I have not really double booked meals at WDW, but I don't really care about BoG (been there done that a few times).

The only thing I have double booked is Tusker House, and that is because I move offsite the day before, so 1 of the bookings is for the check out day, and 1 is the day after. However, midnight tonight opens my 60 day so then I will drop 1 when I'm able to book the preferred day.

I've never, ever booked/reserved dining until I started looking online for tips on planning my daughter's first visit/5th birthday trip to Disney. Little did I know I was lucky I started looking to book more than 60 days out or we would have missed out on FP+ much less dining.

(I'm a 25 year old full-time student at a University while working part time, husband works full time while part time college student; MIL/FIL are going with us and covering the cost of the cabin--otherwise it'd be a couple more years before we could have a trip like this, even with saving and using some of our tax refund for the trip. Realized that it was like $20 more to have Fl Resident Weekday Select passes than our 4 day park hopper tickets cost... so this will be a ~*year of Disney*~ before we have to skip it for a year or three! ...Unless the addiction is real and we make it happen/Disney doesn't price us out. This will probably be the only trip with more than 1 TS meal at most until I've secured a full-time job and DH finishes his degree. Anyway sorry for rambling!)

I was looking for the dining package. I am too far out for FP yet. Guess I will check in with you guys in the morning to see if anyone had any luck.

If it's not available tomorrow by ~5pm CST, then I am not booking it. I will be on a plane to Orlando. I might try in the mornings on vacation, since we get up early for RD, but probably not 6am. Plus, I don't think it will be released on the weekend. Ah, planning a vacation while on vacation. Only DISers really get that:)

well, this was fun, guys...I'll probably check in around 4:30 (central) but am kind of feeling let down and disappointed. :sad2:

dang...dumb to get this wrapped up in this but I can't help it! LOL
