I've got my spirits up once again for Disneyland bringing more rare characters, because they brought Country Bears meet n greet at DCA. I don't know if it's only for the holidays, but it's great see them. Unfortunately, I didn't get a chance to meet them, but the good news is, I meant them before so I'm not going to be upset about it. Now, I don't believe in Micechat, but someone said that the cast member just told them that despite the Country Bears only meet 'n' greet for Festival of Holidays, they were making a potentially looking into making them a permanent fixture at the park, which is very exciting to hear. Also, I've heard that they might try to bring some of the rare characters we haven't seen often anymore at some point. I wonder if (pardon me for this.) Brer Fox and Brer Bear might meet at DCA. I know seeing them meet n greeting at Splash Mountain is more appropriate, but I don't think it'll hurt that they might meet n greet at DCA. This is exciting even if it's only a rumor for now. But will see how it goes in the new year.

I just hope they never relegate character meets to controlled and queued locations like it felt they do at WDW. One of the charms of DLR for my daughter is the perception of spontaneity when characters appear out in that park (e.g. in front of Madd Hatter) and kids go coursing to meet them.

It would be great if Brer Bear and Fox had a meet-n'greet. I'm not going to hold my breath, though. It might be nice if they included them randomly in some of the character meals.

And with the return of Duck Tales in 2017, hoping that a Scrooge McDuck M&G will make an appearance.

It says in the Festival of Holidays pamphlet that the Country Bears are a special greet for the event.

I'm not going to hold my breath either, but I'm hoping they do something for the rare characters next year.

We saw Brer Fox at Breakfast with Minnie about 5 years ago. I do like meeting rare characters!

The first time we had APs (about 6 years ago) we saw Brer Bear and Fox many times near Splash Mt.

I am not a character person AT ALL but that is definitely one thing I like about DL over WDW -- it feels like you are visiting the place where the characters live because they are out mingling with everyone.

On our last trip I was talking to my family who were seated on a planter and I had my back to the walkway facing them. Someone walked behind me and her clothes brushed up against me. I turned to look at who had just bumped into me, and because it was dark I had to ask my family, "Wait, was that Cinderella?" It was. There is no "accidentally bumping into Cinderella" at WDW, there is only scheduling a time to see her six months in advance.

They used to do Lost Long Friends in the Big Thunder Ranch area most years, since the Ranch is gone noe, R.I.P., I'm wondering if we'll see Long Lost Friends again somewhere, maybe in Critter Country where Pooh normally is?

Loved seeing Robin Hood during LLF! :)
