Rumor? moving FW kennel to central loction

I was ready on another list and they were talking about the FW kennel. Really they were talking about all the kennels on property and saying that they are building a new large centralized kennel and closing all the others. They also stated that the FW kennel will be where the new golf cart rental will be. Has anyone heard anything about this? They were talking like they had inside information or like Best Friends , the new owners of the kennels had told them this?

The central kennel is true -- here's the info: Kennel

The current FW kennel is at the front, where we've heard the golf cart rental is moving to. But, nobody knows exactly for sure yet.

I don't get how they can close the smaller kennels. If we drive a big rig down with a pet, how do we get the pet to a centralized kennel every day??? I wouldn't want to tow a vehicle down just to transport a pet.

I'm thinking Disney ignored their demographics when they made this decision.

Permanent closure of the FW kennel is just about the dumbest thing I have heard of. There are lots of people that are not going to be able to effectively utilize a kennel offsite. Not everyone with an RV has a car at their disposal. This decision was not well thought out at all.

I agree, it is a poor decision for those of us who camp at FW. But, as I stated in a previous post the employees at the kennel told me that it was a requirement of the Best Friends/Disney contract that they close the small kennels and build a centralized kennel.
