We are here for a few days at Paradise Pier, at DLR. I spoke with a DVC cast member, and she mentioned sales were doing very well for the Villas. I mentioned that the villas were opening early, by 2 months. She was surprised I knew and let out this gem. "Well then you know they have asked for another meeting for more DVC units, as we only have 50 right now, and they could use a lot more." Hmmm, could be true in this economy. If room vacancy is up, they can always fill DVC units, as we only spend travel expenses. More DVC units filled as opposed to hotel rooms unfilled, Disney keeps theme park attendance up. Sounds like a logical arguement to me.
Perhaps they want to reconfigure some or all of the new hotel rooms to DVC units? After all, it still is under construction.

I would go for renting a normal hotel room with DVC points, of course slightly cheaper than a DVC unit since it will have no mini-kitchen and no living room for the 2 bedroom, just 2 rooms connecting. That would work fine for me !!

Our VGC contracts actually state that hotel rooms could be converted to DVC units. Subtract 2 points from the studio and your all set.
