Rumor Is.....The Fantasy's Godmother Will Be....

Just read a rumor on Facebook that the Fantasy's Godmother will be....Mariah Carey. Also Jerry Seinfeld is supposed to be going on the Christening Cruise.

Does Mariah have a Disney connection? Other than her son is named Moroccan
and Morocco is a country at Epcot?

She sang for the Christmas parade two years ago and stayed in the AKL mack-daddy suite while we were there, with her yappy dogs, and huge entourage, and was basically a real @#$% diva to everyone from what we heard and saw.

I was hoping for Jodi Benson too, but I knew it wouldn't be...the christening in New York is going to get alot of coverage/airtime, they wanted someone big. Kristen Chenowith crossed my mind, I thought they might go Broadway.

Her connection is sh has two kids and a big bank account and want the olds stars to come to Disney and dcl to spend money. Plus her husband the lotto winner host thEir Disney parks parade. I am surprised the don't put under the ships name Disney parks.

A very pregnant Mariah Carey performed for the Disneyland Christmas parade in 2010, and her husband, Nick Cannon, MC'd 2011's parade. So I guess that's a connection of sorts.

When I first saw this rumor the first connection I made was between her song "Fantasy" and of course the new ship "Fantasy"

I looked thinking she had done some voice work, but the only thing I see is where she played herself on an episode of The Proud Family

Jennifer Hudson was a really lame choice for the Dream, IMO, so I'm not expecting them to choose anyone great for the Fantasy either.

I am extremely disappointed in the choice of Mariah Carey for the Fantasy. I also thought it would be a great opportunity to use someone with a connection to New York like Angela Lansbury or Kristin Chenoweth.
