Rumor about “modified experiences” when Disney reopens (read 1st post for potential modifications being considered)

ADRs are only available for DS restaurants for the month of June. None showing in the parks or resorts 🙁

FWIW.. Read on Twitter yesterday that several restaurants in the Springs won’t be reopening on the 20th... Homecoming was on the list can’t remember the others - maybe Morimoto

Maybe I missed something, but I thought they said they won’t be taking “new” reservations before July 1st. They haven’t canceled any of the existing ones yet.
This seems indicative of opening in June with limited capacity. I thought there were others who stated the same idea. But again maybe I missed something after that.
That's what I have been thinking too, it keeps a ton of people rushing to book rooms once they announce an opening date. What I don't like seeing is the actual canceling of the events like VAH, if they were open you would think maybe they could keep the events open. Of course maybe they just don't want to both with those and all the protocols that go along in the beginning. It's all just a big question mark though, who even knows anymore. I'm still holding out hope for my July 8 trip that I've had booked since 2020 rooms opened up, of course I finally get my husbands back to the park after 2.5 years and this happens *sigh*

Thing is, if they’re opening in June but have stopped incoming reservations, they’d have to be OK with less people than that already have trips planned because some might not feel comfortable going, or Florida might not open up the state to the hotspot states. I guess they could open up remaining spots that opened up to locals and AP holders, but I think that’s when we start reaching

Im not sure how much of an indication the ADR’a is. They could realistically just not have sit down dining options in the parks for the foreseeable future. It would cut down the angst of locals that have ADRs booked but can’t get into the parks which would cause a lot of issues, especially if they’re doing an advanced registration issue. If you keep previous ADRs, those people have the expectation they have guaranteed access to the parks, when in reality, that’s not something theyll be able to guarantee with reduced capacity

It's worth noting that my May 25 reservation at Yacht Club was canceled last week...I called to reschedule, 2nd week of June...I'm unable to make any FP+ selections. June doesn't even show up even though I have 2 nights scheduled in June and paid for. This is indeed ominous for June

I was holding out hope for our July 1st arrival, but Delta just added a couple of nails to that coffin for me this morning.

I am able to make FP for June 9. There isn’t much available except at MK, but it is allowing me to do it.

i wouldn’t say July 1st opening is dead just yet. That’s still 51 days away. The parks have only been closed for 55 days and though we’re not getting concrete news, there are things that are indicative that they’re getting closer to reopening.

The last week of May reservations were all cancelled this past Thursday.
I have Boardwalk Inn ressies 5/23-25 that are not showing as cancelled on MDE nor have I received an email from WDW. Were you referring to ADRs not resorts? We won't be going regardless but haven't had the heart to cancel yet. I'm sure some of you have had that same feeling. This is our 2nd planned trip we'll be missing.

Also don’t want to be pessimistic or upset anyone, but as someone who works in hotel reservations, I find it hard to believe that them shutting off reservations completely for June means they reached capacity. They have to anticipate a lot of cancellations. More likely they would just quietly take rooms out of inventory and put them back as cancellations came in. It seems weird that they would make a point to TAs they were not taking any more reservations for June. Let alone at the same exact time as no more ADRs for June (not counting DS) and VAH showing not available.

Again, this is all just speculation OFC. Just wanted to offer that perspective. Anything is possible.

Is MK the ONLY option?
No, all parks are available but very limited options. At AK, only It’s Tough to be a big and Meet Disney Pals. At HS, only Muppet Vision. At Epcot, only Turtle Talk, Nemo, Figment, and Pixar Shorts.

I am able to modify what I have starting on June 28th. Again, not much available at HS- VOTLM and Muppets...
